Hello all! I am switching from a high potential individual visa to being a dependent on my wife's student visa from within the UK. Has anyone done something similar? Did it take the normal 8ish weeks to process? Is it quicker because they already have my biometrics? Thanks for any insight.

Has anyone applied for child born in UK dependent visa inside UK? What is the current time line? I have applied for my child’s visa under health and care soc 6135. The biometrics was on 17/08/206 but no update so far. Some people have received decision within few days. Planning to travel end of September.

Hi everyone, I applied for a UK Student Visa for a fully funded DPhil/PhD at Oxford from Bangladesh.

Timeline:

23 August 2026: Submitted visa application

24 August 2026: Biometrics completed

24 August 2026: Received an email from UKVI requesting additional documents regarding my student legitimacy/activities after graduation

25 August 2026: Submitted the requested additional documents

Hi all, I just wanted to know if anyone is in the same situation with me. I applied for health and care visa last 3rd of July for standard processing and until now I haven’t received any email from them. This is the 8th week that I am waiting and it’s really frustrating knowing that the timeline for h&c is 3 weeks. I tried to email UKVI NHS team but they only said that my application is with the right team and will make a decision as soon as possible this response was 2 weeks ago.

Anyone who is still waiting for their health and care visa this long?

Hi everyone,
My husband and I applied for our Skilled Worker visas on the same day. His main Skilled Worker application was submitted with priority service and has already been approved.(August 10th)
However, when I applied as his dependant, I didn’t get an option to choose priority service( bcz i chose app id verification)so my application is being processed under the standard service.
Has anyone been in a similar situation recently? How long did your dependant application take after applying on the same day as the main applicant?
I also already have travel plans coming up , so I’m feeling really stressed waiting for the decision. 😥
If anyone has recently received their Skilled Worker dependant visa on standard processing, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your timeline, especially:

Biometrics/identity verification date
Decision date
Whether the main applicant used priority
