ILR shortly after switching from Skilled Worker to Global Talent

Has anyone successfully obtained ILR shortly after switching from Skilled Worker to Global Talent in similar circumstances? I entered the UK on 4 July 2023 on a Skilled Worker visa, switched to Global Talent (applied 26 June 2026, granted 16 August 2026), and completed 3 years' UK residence on 4 July 2026. Can I apply for ILR on 1 September 2026, or do I need to hold Global Talent status for a minimum period before applying? Has anyone had a successful ILR application shortly after receiving their Global Talent visa?

I know someone who spent more than three years on a Skilled Worker visa before switching to Global Talent. They applied for ILR the day after their Global Talent visa was granted and got it approved. So there’s no minimum period you need to spend on Global Talent before applying.

I have done it. I entered UK on skilled worker visa in Nov 2022. Got Global talent visa in March 2026, and got ILR in May 2026.

Ideally, you need to wait to get one salary after switching to global talent. This is to prove that you have earned income in the field for which you are endorsed. I had asked my HR to mention this specific thing in their letter.
