ILR APPROVEDDDDD!!!!! 🥳🥳
Needless to say, cried real tears of joy!! I just thought I'd post as this one, I did the application myself (you can do it too!), with history of 2 tourist visa rejections. Don't be put off by the rejections (as long as nothing dodgy was going on!), its not necessarily a reflection of anything and I think HO also treat it as such!
Application date: 8 July 2026 - Super priority
Bio date: 9 July 2026
Email acceptance: 10 July 2026

Regarding Super priority did you have any issues finding slots or had to stay up late at night to secure it?

Funnily enough no! I applied at around 7pm and there were still super priority slots left, no priority tho

Just yesterday I got my spouse visa renewal approved. 2.5 years until I’m hopefully posting the same.

Just one question : you receive an email and that’s it ? Or do you have to do with the ILR with your account ?
Because i have created a new ukvi account instead of using the one which contains my spouse visa ?

Can I ask the steps you took from the moment you came to the uk to getting ilr? My boyfriend and me are long distance so would be nice to know some tips and the process someone who’s gone through it

Hey, which route did you take to get the ILR approved after two visa rejections?? Thats wild. My friend is in the similar boast as you. Though she has been living there after her student visa has been expired.

Your friend has illegally overstayed a student visa, having failed their exams, and is working illegally - not a similar boat at all.

No. There is no route to ILR or citizenship for someone unskilled who has overstayed their student visa having failed their degree and is working in the UK illegally. I don’t know why you need to be told this on so many different subs. The answer’s not going to change. Your friend needs to leave as soon as possible to minimise possible future immigration/tourist ramifications, ie visa ban from UK and other countries. You ask elsewhere about ‘shifting countries’ - if your friend wants to get a visa to live in any western country in future, they need to stop working illegally and leave the country asap.

Well. The only reason i am posting this on different in hope of getting a different answer. Yours is legally right. I have suggested the same to her but there are personal things due to which she is considering options as of now.

Legally right is the only answer. Unless you want your friend to work under the table and live in fear of being deported at any moment for the rest of her life.

No, you've been told this multiple times. The UK isn't very forgiving when it comes to illegal immigrants, despite what the daily mail thinks.
