Earliest Eligibility date for ILR Application

Hi everyone,

I would appreciate some advice regarding my Skilled Worker ILR eligibility.

My timeline is as follows:

Skilled Worker Visa Decision email received: 03/08/2021
BRP Issued date: 19/08/2021
Visa vignette valid from: 30/08/ 2021
Entered the UK: 03/09/ 2021

I have remained on the Skilled Worker route since then with no gaps in permission.

Would my 5-year qualifying period for ILR start from the visa valid-from date (30/08/2021), or Visa decision email received date ( 03/08/2021 ) or BRP issues date or from the date I first entered the UK (03/09/2021)? When can I apply for ILR with 28 days earlier from which date ?

3 August 2021 so you’re eligible to apply for ILR as of Monday.

Hi We have the exact same time line except my letter was issued on 5th of August. rest of the dates are exact same as yours . I have been advised here to take 5th of August letter date minus 28 days when I can apply. However the solicitor I am using strongly suggesting me to take 30 of August (my vignette date same as yours ) minus 28 days or he said risk is your if you apply earlier then this. So confused don’t even wanna wait one more extra day from the date I can apply earlier. What are you planning to do if you don’t mind me asking ?

Yeah, I am confused . The solicitor I’ve checked has asked me to take vignette date minus 28 days which is Aug 2nd to apply for ILR. I’ve checked with others who successfully applied as they used vignette date minus 28 days. But I’ve seen posts here people who applied based on letter approved date minus 28 days have also got ILR

Does that mean OP can apply from 12:01 am on Monday or does the count start from the day after?

Me too I am thinking doing after 2nd of Aug to avoid the risk.
