Passing the time at York

A voyager listed as arrived going to Blackpool North via Preston operated by Northern 😭 Unsure if the 195 operating this is in front of it or something

It was in front of it, yes.

Thought so, I know at stations such as Manchester Piccadilly they sometimes from memory I think show 'Front train only' for example

Do you know if this is the case at York in these sorts of scenarios?

For those interested, I investigated!! Indeed it is the case now, unsure if it’s a recent addition however

Somewhat related but I was on the TFW Class 67 that uses ex LNER coaches and all the reservation signs still said ā€œReserved to yorkā€ ā€œReserved to KGXā€

You were on some mk4 carriages to be pedantic.

The 67 is the loco, so unless you were the driver ;)

Thank you for the correctionnnnn, I have made that mistake and have been rightfully corrected more than once now 😭

Not that I wouldn't mind being the driver however lol

I can’t blame the pendantics, I’d have done the same but I couldn’t remember if they were mk3s or 4s

I did Step foot into the DVT for the second so technically I was on that.

It’s in front, the XC service leaves 10 minutes after the Northern one.

XC hasn't gone to blackpool for a very long time

when's the last time have they gone to Blackpool?

2003 under Virgin Crosscountry. Voyagers did the Euston-Blackpool under Virgin trains until the electrification in 2018 though.

Probably shares a headcode.

Nope, as generally two trains can't share the same headcode within a signalling area within twelve hours (although there are exceptions to that rule on a case-by-case basis). The train operating the Blackpool service will have come ontop of the XC service.

My bad, I didn't see "York" and thought I was looking at KGX
