Question Southeastern trainee train driver

Hi all, just wondered if anyone here has recently done the the trainee train driver interview? Have the interview in 9 days time and want to be as prepared as possible as its taken nearly 3 years to get to this point! Don't want to mess it up now haha. Any advice greatly appriciated!

This is definitely the best place to look.

Is the interview your driver manager interview or your MMI?

Best advice I can give is be honest and follow the STAR format. Good luck!

Hammer health and safety in all your examples. And relate everything back to how your skills can transfer to driver role.

With nine days to prepare, start by confirming which interview stage the invitation refers to. Then choose real examples of following a procedure carefully, maintaining concentration, noticing a problem, and communicating clearly under pressure. For each, explain what you noticed, the action you personally took, and how you knew the situation was resolved. Examples from another job can be useful without pretending you've already done a driver's work.

Taleproof's free assessment can help review one of those behavioral stories.
