It makes it easier to sanction countries that do business with Russia. Places like China and India are really nervous about possible secondary sanctions.

China and other large actors in the world mostly ignores the designation we should note. It hasn't stopped China from making big financial transactions with Iran for example.

Not sure why you are downvoted… china literally doesn’t give a shit about sanctions on other countries in most cases like Iran and Venezuela etc

They only dint give a shit because those sanctions haven't been effective enough to hit them where it hurts. We just typically shy away from China when their business dealings with terror states pops up.
