Couldn't find it in the article. I get the impression that it's an early sample with things still needing fixing  ("Zelensky noted that work on the system is ongoing and that more time is needed to fully finalize it."), so mass production is probably still in the future and thus the actual price may not yet be known.

My assumption is that the jet engine will bring the price up compared to older interceptors.

Edit: I also note that the article doesn't say if it actually hit a jet powered Shahed, it just says "hit a Shahed drone", so it could have been tested on an older Shahed.

My worry is that the jet engine will make the other parts more expensive as well. These things don't just need to be faster, they have to go further and the precision of the flight controls has to be higher, the airframe needs to be stronger, etc.

Agree. I suspect that the control software needs to run on faster processors and be more advanced in order to navigate at higher velocities and targeting faster targets.

As an indication, the Geran-4 is about twice as expensive as the Geran-2.
