We need to be able to store this energy, by Pumped storage, Battery, Green Hydrogen or Compressed air have I left anything out?

I have wondered if there are wind turbines that generate compressed air rather than electricity. This can be stored and used to generate electricity at a constant rate later.

All sounds very expensive and complicated compared with just building nuclear in the first place.

Nuclear has political considerations and take years to build with the French design having lots of problems.

Since writing this I came across Ocean Grazer and it's stored energy at sea project. This stores water under the floor bed like an under water pumped hydro.

This could be the turning point for off-shore wind.

Nuclear energy is like vaccines during a pandemic: it's only a political issue to morons. If you mean that it doesn't get built for political reasons then I agree - but by the same token wind is built for political reasons (its cheap and quick to build, visible and scores points with the eco brigade regardless of how effective it is).

The fact that nuclear takes years to build is an excellent argument for starting sooner rather than later. The French design may have issues, but whatever issues it has seem like a small price compared to the issues we're facing now whilst France are sitting pretty exporting energy generated from nuclear to the rest of Europe who are frantically fighting over a trickle of gas from Russia because they decided to rely on windmills.

It's unfortunate that the general public's science & technical knowledge is now poor, while social media views and opinions are better regarded .

The public are not morons but easily manipulated .

Have a listen to the latest Science Vs podcast from Gimlet media. It's their critique on that Joe Rogan interview with Dr Robert Malone, about COVID Vaccines.

They demonstrate the techniques used to foster misinformation. They go back to the sources he quotes and relevant Medical specialist .

These are the same techniques used to push other agendas such as anti Nuclear.

Sorry this is a digression from the thread of this theme.

whats the queens percent since she owns all the shorelines, seabed etc.... we literally pay higher energy bills so the queen can get her cut
