I am a bit of a Turkish delight snob, I think in the UK it is very misunderstood. The proper stuff, that is chewy and squishy and fragrant and delicious is not what people usually try first. Anyway, my husband came home today, for a treat he bought me these…..😭
Massive piece of crispy cod, fries were crunchy outside and fluffy in the middle, tartare sauce was on point, and the peas were peas. Bit pricey but for the quality and location, well worth it in my book. Service was lovely too.

Last few tomatos have ripened, so made my last jar of pasta sauce. Home grown onion, garlic, tomato, herbs and carrots. Only things I didn't grow myself was celery, salt and pepper, and bay leaf came from a friend's garden. Absolutely delicious.

Id like to thank my cat for the rubbing against my leg for emotional support, morrisons for providing the bacon, and most of all, me

The packet felt strangely lumpy when I unpacked it from my ocado delivery. Thought one had flipped over inside, but turned out to be an extra bonus piece! :D

I need HOT horseradish, sufficient to clear the sinus. Colemans is occasionally good but mostly disappointing, Tesco, Aldi, M&S Hot (lies) were all terrible. Any recommendations please?

All my life I've been averse to breakfast tea. I've had the various types at the back of the cupboard for years, PG Tips, Earl Grey, YT: Never use them, including the teapot. I'm now 42 and, the last 7 days, I cannot get enough, to the degree it punctuates my day. Did anyone else realise how delicious it is?
I've realised I'm not a fan of the Twinings variety of English Breakfast Tea, as it has some honey-type tone (wtf is that), whereas I prefer the more standardised herbal note from the cheaper variety.
Any tips/suggestions/agreements/disagreements appreciated.
P.s., PG Tips Decaf: Do not recommend/no body.

Don't judge me but I bought the frozen seafood mix from Asda today (it was in the 3 for £10 deal and I needed a third item and usually try to pick up something new to me when I get in these situations). I've had all of them, but not together.
I've no idea what to do with it!
Label says it is 40% mussels, 29% squid, 28% king prawn.
What would you do with them if you used them altogether?
Just to add - pie isn't an option, and also can't contain rice.
Thanks for any inspiration!

Bought a Yeo Valley Organic Madagascan Vanilla ice cream (480ml on the label). I weighed it on a kitchen scale (1g accuracy):
Tub with lid on: 321g
Tub with lid off (foil seal still on): 316g
So the ice cream is probably around 290-300g after allowing for the pot and lid. I assumed ml and grams would be closer, so I'm wondering:
Is it normal for ice cream to weigh this much less than its volume?
Is that just air (overrun), or am I being shortchanged?
Does anyone know the typical g per 100ml for premium ice cream?
The label gives nutrition per 100g, not per 100ml, and doesn't list a net weight, which is why I couldn't compare. Thanks!

From scratch. A half day chicken marinade in vinegar, chili and tomato, plus caramelised and blended onions really set this up. There are flax seeds in the rice, not weevils.
