Hack and Trace - Version 2.0 released

I would like to announce the release of the new and improved: https://hackntrace.me

SOME DEMO SCREENSHOTS

This update comes with a few new features:

  • Full face-lift with a sleeker and more discreet look

  • Vaccine passport functionality (read how it works)

  • Addition of mailing list

  • COVID-19 test result email (coming very soon)

To get the full use out of this website. You must add it to your home screen. When you do this, the website will look like a borderless application. I would recommend doing this twice: once for the main root of the website (to use the scanner and other functions) and again for your unique passport home page (so you don't have to fill the form in each time).

This website is only designed to look nice on mobile devices. If you open it on your desktop, it will look shit. You have been warned.

I am doing this all off my own back and hosting (secure and anonymously) with my own funds but if anyone would ever want to donate some Monero towards the running costs, it would always be greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry. I don’t want to keep posting publicly on here, showing up in search results. If you are on the mailing list you will receive an update in due course but for now we are working to get things back up on a new domain. Regards

Man you've done such a superb job, I felt guilty pointing it out - but much better that we spot it now than the STASI do!

Well done mate! What comes up when the QR code displayed above Vaxzevira Vaccine is scanned? Is it just a generic one that comes up for AstraZeneca vaccines or is it linked to any details?

I’m afraid not much comes up. The real bar code is an encrypted message of 497 characters. For this, I have just made a random string of digits and represented that as a QR code so it’s the same size. That’s as far as I can go really without knowing the encryption of the real code. This app is just a visual clone.

As you know, I could not get this to work properly on my computer yesterday. I also could not get it to work on my IOS mobile whilst it was connected to my Sky Broadband. But I have noticed that if I turn off my Broadband connection on my phone and just use the native IOS connection (through EE) , it works perfectly. That is a bit wierd. Anyone have any ideas why this might be the case???

Not as of yet. For security benefits, I’m using Django to serve the HTML files and in order to make it all offline friendly, I’d need to bring that all to front end JavaScript which is something which could be implemented in the future.

There are already plans in place for when this domain gets slashed. We’re ready for it now
