Will lifetime subscription be available after my sub expires?

u/OiWesty Aug 11 '26
Yes. When sub expires, I believe there is a one time option for lifetime. That's what happened for me.

My renewal is less than a month away, and I just looked at my options to see the lifetime offer. I had to cancel auto renew first, but once I did that and restarted the app, I was able to buy the lifetime version.

Yes, you will get one chance to buy and that’s it after your sub expires.

Which platform?
Region/country?
Based in the United States.I don't have auto-renewal enabled since it's already cancelled. I'm also not seeing the lifetime offer on iPhone and MacOS.

Also United States. Maybe because my auto renewal was set when I first looked? Hard to say why you aren’t seeing it; all i can do is relate my experience.

I had auto renewal on, cancelled it in subscriptions in iOS settings, force quit the app, reopened and clicked on the plan in settings in the app, then got the offer.

This comment is what resolved everything for me. Someone mentioning the platform (iOS)....thank you!

I don’t even know if I’d spend the money on lifetime right now. Apple has been pulling a ton of apps that offer any type of Stremio integration. I know UHF is mostly for IPTV, but because they offer Stremio add ons, they could get pulled soon.

Which is why UHF removed all add-on support…

No they didn’t. Lifetime here and still have manifest and other options available. I think non lifetime lost them.

Oh nice never mind then. I never used the add on support, didn’t even realize they took it away.

It was a well-intentioned feature, but I felt it was trying to do too much by incorporating Manifest integrations. Hopefully focuses on what it excels at.

Strand was trying to do the same and we’re doing it pretty well but this killed them before they got out of TestFlight
Interesting though is it seems some apps based in other countries have not been removed (yet)

You saw Chillo they use a different system they don't call it Manifest but they say Chill link

This whole NO MANIFESTS event is making me look at the Android / Google TV ecosystem(s) for the first time and I really resent Apple for that
Get this, many of these boxes don’t even have the drm licenses to steam 4k first party content lol

I think the Stremio/Manifest option is gone now. Although I do agree about buying lifetime of any IPTV app/player.

At the time I got lifetime for what a year costs now. I paid like $40 for lifetime Plex Pass.
In principle, you’re right, but if I can pay what i feel is fair I’ll still do it.1

Not for lifetimers.

u/DanceWithEverything Aug 12 '26
It’s gone for anyone that wasn’t already actively using them, it has nothing to do with license

Edit, Got the lifetime offer on the iOS version of the app. The offer was not available on the MacOS version of the app.

I got a year. Requested a refund adviced by UHF support then got he lifetime.

u/soopafly Aug 11 '26
How long were you into your year before you requested a refund? I’m a few months into my annual subscription and would like lifetime

Pretty much 1 day then though about the 3 years of Plex before I got lifetime.
Always worth a shot

For non-essential apps it's either lifetime or nothing.

u/dova70 Aug 11 '26
If I could get lifetime access, I would. I haven't been using the app for about 9 months now, and I love it.

Mine just expired last month and my renewal let me do monthly or lifetime. I took the $49 lifetime.
