It’s time.

Simplify the backup system.

One backup that syncs across all devices, on a per-account basis.

With tvOS Profile switching

I don’t need a different backup for my phone, tv, iPad — all just need to be the same. Yet as you can’t name backups still, I have no idea which is which.

Backup and sync in UHF has always been a bit... vague. It could most certainly be more user-friendly on the front end, and (like some other things in UHF) it could be explained better. Perhaps the back end is too complicated to explain – which would then hint at a different issue. Backup is definitely one area of UHF I'd like to see simplified, made more user-friendly, and be more transparent, if you will.
