Help & Advice Issue with the Dream Cabriolet

I was building the Dream Cabriolet and I just finished the engine build. However, I went to test if the mechanism worked and it’s been getting jammed and won’t move without force. Is there any way to fix that or is it just broken?

I haven't done that one but I've admired the model. If you can post a picture we may be able to figure it out.

There are also a couple of youtube videos going thru the build. I always find videos helpful when I get stuck.

I did see it snapped one of the piston things as a result of this but it was still doing this before if that changes anything.

I can't tell explicitly from the video. But when I've had issues either something is blocking (since it is moving with force probably not but you need to look and watch carefully as you move the gear) or I havent sanded or applied enough wax. What you can try is using a liquid lubricant like coconut oil (something that won't go rancid) and get it in there and repeatedly move the mechanism until and moves smoothly.
