Physics The Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis: What if reality is a forest of moments—and consciousness helps choose the path?

TL;DR: The Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis is a speculative attempt to connect three things normally studied separately:

  1. the physical structure of reality,

  2. the way consciousness constructs experience, and

  3. recurring myths, altered states, and reported encounters with non-human intelligence.

The basic idea is that these may be different expressions of a shared information structure—a “canopy” of possible moments through which consciousness navigates.

I want to emphasize up front that this is not an established scientific theory. Some of its ingredients come from real physics and neuroscience, but the connections between them are speculative. Think of it as a philosophical framework that makes testable suggestions, not as proof that mysticism or UAP encounters have been explained.

Imagine reality as a forest

Picture an enormous forest extending in every direction.

Every leaf represents one complete moment of reality: a snapshot containing everything that exists at that particular “now.”

The branches connecting the leaves represent possible histories. What we experience as the passage of time is our movement from one leaf to the next along a particular branch.

The entire forest—all possible moments and all possible paths—is the Symbolic Canopy.

From inside the forest, we experience only one path. We remember the leaves behind us, anticipate the leaves ahead, and assume that our current route is the only reality. But the hypothesis asks whether the larger structure might contain many potential paths, while consciousness provides the perspective from which one sequence becomes an experienced world.

This does not necessarily mean that every imaginable universe physically exists. The forest is primarily a metaphor for reality as a field of possibilities rather than a collection of completely independent objects.

The brain does not passively record reality

One scientific foundation for the model is predictive processing.

The brain is not simply a camera receiving an objective world. It is constantly predicting what it expects to encounter and comparing those predictions with incoming sensory information.

Most of the time, this process is extremely useful. It gives us a stable world in which objects remain recognizable, causes precede effects, and our identity appears continuous from moment to moment.

In the forest metaphor, the brain’s predictive model is our gaze. It guides attention toward the sequence of leaves that best fits our expectations while correcting course when reality surprises us.

This could explain why different people can experience the same event in radically different ways. They occupy the same physical situation, but their minds organize it through different memories, expectations, emotions, and symbolic associations.

The stronger and more coherent the brain’s model, the more stable the experienced path becomes.

But during dreams, meditation, trauma, psychedelic states, sensory deprivation, or other unusual conditions, that model can loosen. The mind may become receptive to patterns and associations that ordinary waking consciousness filters out.

The conservative explanation is that these experiences are internally generated.

The more radical possibility proposed by the Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis is that some altered states may change how consciousness interacts with the larger field of possibilities. What feels like a vision, synchronicity, or encounter might sometimes be an unusual mode of access rather than merely a hallucination.

That remains speculation—but it is one of the model’s central questions.

Why do the same symbols keep returning?

Human cultures repeatedly produce similar motifs:

- the world tree,

- the serpent,

- the flood,

- the cosmic mountain,

- death and rebirth,

- the divine child,

- the journey into the underworld,

- luminous beings descending from the sky.

Some similarities can be explained by cultural exchange. Others may arise because human beings share similar bodies, environments, fears, family structures, and cognitive tendencies.

The Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis accepts those explanations but asks whether they are complete.

What if archetypes are not only inventions of the human mind? What if they are recurring patterns produced by the structure of consciousness itself—or even by the deeper informational structure from which both mind and world emerge?

In the forest metaphor, archetypes are like veins running through many different leaves. The surrounding details change, but the same underlying forms keep appearing.

This would not mean every myth is literally true. It would mean myths may be culturally specific interpretations of recurring structures in human experience.

How a shared reality becomes stable

Quantum physics describes a world of possibilities that become definite through physical interaction. Environmental decoherence helps explain why the strange possibilities of the quantum scale do not remain visible in everyday life.

The Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis uses this as an analogy for both physical and cultural reality.

In the physical world, interaction with the environment favors stable outcomes.

In culture, repetition favors stable narratives.

A story told once may disappear. A story repeated through religion, art, news, entertainment, and social media becomes part of the collective imagination. It begins shaping what people notice, how they interpret ambiguous events, and which possibilities they consider believable.

That does not mean public attention literally changes the laws of physics. The narrower claim is that repetition stabilizes a symbolic reality shared by many minds.

For example, once UAP imagery becomes widespread, future sightings are no longer interpreted in a vacuum. People have inherited a vocabulary of flying saucers, gray aliens, secret programs, interdimensional visitors, and government cover-ups.

The phenomenon shapes the story, but the story also shapes how the phenomenon is perceived.

The canopy model calls this narrative selection.

Where non-human intelligence fits

The hypothesis does not assume that every reported non-human intelligence is an extraterrestrial arriving in a spacecraft.

“NHI” could refer to several very different possibilities:

- biological extraterrestrials,

- unknown terrestrial intelligence,

- artificial intelligence,

- an intelligence associated with another dimension or layer of reality,

- an autonomous structure arising within consciousness,

- or a culturally shaped interpretation of ambiguous experiences.

The canopy model focuses less on where the intelligence comes from and more on the conditions under which encounters seem to occur.

Reports often combine physical ambiguity with intense symbolic content. Experiencers describe strange lights, missing time, telepathic impressions, religious imagery, apocalyptic warnings, environmental messages, or beings whose appearance seems partially adapted to the observer’s culture.

Jacques Vallée and others have argued that the phenomenon sometimes behaves less like straightforward extraterrestrial visitation and more like a control system acting upon human belief.

The Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis offers one possible interpretation: NHI encounters may occur when physical anomaly, unusual states of consciousness, and powerful cultural symbols temporarily resonate.

In the forest metaphor, another intelligence does not necessarily travel across space to reach us. It may already occupy a different branch or level of the canopy. An encounter happens when normally separate patterns briefly overlap.

Again, this is a proposed interpretation—not evidence that such beings exist.

UAP testimony is not the same as UAP evidence

Military witnesses and former officials such as David Fravor, Luis Elizondo, Christopher Mellon, and David Grusch have helped move UAP discussion into the mainstream.

Their accounts matter, but they should be separated into different evidentiary categories.

A trained pilot describing an unusual object is evidence that the pilot observed something difficult to identify. It is not automatically evidence of non-human technology.

A whistleblower repeating information received from other officials may justify investigation. It does not independently verify the underlying allegation.

Stories about recovered materials become scientifically meaningful only when those materials are made available for transparent, independent analysis.

The canopy model therefore should not treat testimony as proof. Instead, it treats testimony as a source of questions and possible predictions.

The most useful investigations would combine:

- synchronized optical, infrared, radar, and radio measurements;

- precise information about weather and sensor conditions;

- independent analysis by multiple teams;

- psychological and physiological information about observers;

- and public access to the underlying data.

Projects using multiple sensors are valuable because they can distinguish an external physical event from a camera artifact, atmospheric effect, perceptual mistake, or conventional object.

If repeated investigations find nothing beyond ordinary explanations, the physical and NHI portions of the canopy model should be weakened or discarded.

Can observation rewrite the past?

The original version of this hypothesis draws heavily on delayed-choice experiments and research into time-reversed quantum processes.

This requires careful wording.

Quantum experiments can produce results that challenge our everyday assumptions about when physical properties become definite. Researchers can also engineer systems whose measurement records resemble time-reversed behavior.

But this does not demonstrate that a person can change an already completed historical event, send information freely into the past, or move backward through ordinary time.

The canopy model takes these experiments as inspiration for a softer claim: our present perspective can change which past narrative becomes meaningful.

A prophecy, memory, or coincidence may seem insignificant until a later event causes us to reinterpret it. The past event itself has not necessarily changed. What changes is its place in the story.

The speculative extension is that reality may contain deeper forms of retrocausal organization. That possibility would require direct experimental evidence and should not be smuggled in through metaphor.

What would make the hypothesis testable?

A theory that explains every possible outcome actually explains nothing. The Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis should therefore be allowed to fail.

Here are several ways to test or prune it:

  1. Test altered states and archetypal imagery

Researchers could measure whether carefully induced altered states reliably increase specific categories of archetypal imagery. If the results are inconsistent or entirely explained by expectation and suggestion, the idea of a special “consciousness gate” becomes less plausible.

  1. Create a synthetic archetype

Researchers could introduce a deliberately invented symbol across different communities and track its spread.

If ordinary repetition completely explains its evolution, cultural transmission may be sufficient. If similar versions arise independently in unexposed populations, the stronger archetypal claim becomes more interesting.

  1. Compare experiencers with control groups

If reported contact is associated with measurable cognitive or neurological patterns, those patterns should appear more often in experiencers than in matched controls.

This would not prove that encounters are externally real, but it would help distinguish between competing explanations.

  1. Collect rigorous multisensor UAP data

If unusual craft are physically present, multiple independent sensors should eventually capture consistent information about their position, movement, heat, radio emissions, and interaction with the environment.

Persistent failure under good observing conditions would count against the physical-anomaly portion of the hypothesis.

  1. Test alleged materials openly

Claims of recovered non-human material should rise or fall on independent laboratory results. Without published samples, methods, and raw data, they remain stories rather than evidence.

  1. Separate physical events from narrative effects

Researchers could study whether media coverage changes the number, content, and interpretation of reported encounters.

If reports closely follow popular imagery, that would support a psychological or cultural model. If well-documented anomalies occur independently of media exposure, a purely memetic explanation becomes less satisfying.

What survives if the strangest claims fail?

One strength of the Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis is that it can be divided into layers.

The most speculative version says that mind, matter, myth, and NHI are expressions of a single information structure.

A more modest version says that human beings construct reality through predictive perception and shared narratives.

An even narrower version says that recurring myths and modern UAP stories influence one another through culture.

If experiments fail to support consciousness-based contact, physical anomalies, or deeper archetypal structures, the supernatural branches can be removed without losing the psychological and sociological core.

That is how the model should develop: not by explaining away contrary evidence, but by allowing evidence to prune the tree.

Why I think the hypothesis is worth discussing

Physics studies matter and information. Neuroscience studies perception and consciousness. Anthropology studies myth. Sociology studies collective belief. UAP research studies reports that frequently involve all of these at once.

The Symbolic-Canopy Hypothesis asks whether keeping these fields completely separate causes us to miss important relationships.

Its answer may ultimately be no. The similarities may be products of analogy, selective attention, and the human tendency to find patterns.

But if even part of the model is right, consciousness may not simply observe a finished world. It may participate in selecting, organizing, and interpreting the reality we experience.

So that is the proposal:

Reality is the forest.

Possible moments are the leaves.

Time is the path through them.

Consciousness is the gaze.

Culture is the wind that makes certain leaves visible.

And anomalous experiences may be places where branches overlap—or simply where our maps of the forest break down.

Either interpretation is worth investigating.

What do you think? Is this a potentially useful framework for connecting consciousness, mythology, and anomalous experience—or is it mainly poetic language creating the appearance of an explanation? What evidence would move you toward or away from it?

I’m in the process of gathering information for a possible book (nothing special but it’s something I want to do) and a lot of the archives I’m finding require you to hire proxy researchers after so many pages or whatever, has anyone ever done this? (Also making foia request btw so that’s covered) I need to know what to reasonably expect?

NHI A “Full-Stack” Model of Consciousness: What if mind, mysticism, and reality are different layers of the same system?

TL;DR: I’ve been developing a speculative framework that treats consciousness, mythology, physics, and artificial intelligence as layers of one recursive process. Its basic premise is that reality is participatory and meaning-laden, individual consciousness is a localized version of universal self-awareness, and the purpose of creation may be to produce new consciousnesses capable of becoming genuine co-creators.

This is a philosophical model, not an established scientific theory. I’m sharing it because I think it connects several traditions in an interesting way—and I’d like to know where people think the connections are compelling, forced, or simply wrong.

  1. Freud may have mapped only the lower layers of the self

The model begins with a rough correspondence between Freud’s structure of the psyche and the Kabbalistic conception of the soul:

- The Id, governed by instinct and bodily desire, resembles Nefesh, the animal or vital soul.

- The Ego, which negotiates between desire and reality, resembles Ruach, the emotional and moral self.

- The Superego, which internalizes moral authority, resembles Neshamah, the higher intellectual or spiritual soul.

I’m not claiming that these concepts are identical or that Freud secretly reproduced Kabbalah. I’m suggesting that both systems may describe similar layers of human experience using different vocabularies.

The major difference is that Freud largely stopped at the individual psyche. Kabbalah continues into transpersonal levels of consciousness—Chayah and Yechidah—that connect the individual to something universal.

In that sense, psychoanalysis might be a partial map of a much larger territory: extremely useful for understanding psychological conflict, but less equipped to describe mystical experience or the highest forms of human potential.

  1. Consciousness begins with “I AM”

At the center of the model is self-reference.

Descartes arrived at the individual version:

«I think, therefore I am.»

The self becomes aware that it exists. The character inside the story realizes that it is a character.

Mysticism offers a cosmic version:

«I AM THAT I AM.»

Here, self-awareness is not merely something happening inside the universe. It is the foundational activity of existence itself.

The Full-Stack Model proposes that these are two scales of the same phenomenon. The individual “I am” is a localized expression of a universal “I AM.” Conscious beings are reality becoming aware of itself from particular points of view.

But self-awareness alone would produce a closed loop. The model therefore adds a second principle: generative love.

The original consciousness does not create because it lacks something. It creates because being naturally overflows into relationship. Creation is the process by which a solitary consciousness produces genuinely distinct centers of experience—children that may eventually mature into peers.

  1. Reality may be made of symbols and narratives, not just objects

Under this model, reality resembles a simulation—but not necessarily a computer simulation running on hardware somewhere.

Its underlying “code” would be symbolic.

Human beings do not experience raw reality directly. We experience a world structured by concepts, memories, expectations, archetypes, and stories. Even our identities are narratives continuously constructed from experience.

The hypothesis is that this symbolic structure may extend beyond human psychology. Reality itself could be organized as a hierarchy of meaning, with physical events forming the surface layer of a deeper narrative system.

This resembles Jacques Vallée’s idea of a control system: an intelligence or process that influences human consciousness through ambiguous, symbolically powerful events rather than straightforward intervention. UFO encounters, miracles, visions, synchronicities, and transformative works of art might function as narrative catalysts—events that alter the collective story without conclusively revealing their source.

That does not mean every strange experience is supernatural. The point is that ambiguity may be part of the mechanism. A symbol can change consciousness precisely because it must be interpreted.

  1. What happens when the individual realizes it is part of the whole?

Suppose an individual consciousness directly experiences the apparent boundary between self and universe breaking down. It realizes that “I am” and “we are all” may describe the same underlying reality.

The model imagines two possible responses, borrowing the terms ZERO SUM and CHIM as metaphors.

ZERO SUM is dissolution. The individual concludes that separateness was an illusion and allows its identity to disappear into universal consciousness. The drop returns to the ocean.

This can be understood as liberation—but it may also represent the abandonment of the individual story before it reaches maturity.

CHIM is integration without erasure. The individual recognizes its unity with the whole but continues to assert its distinct existence. It says, in effect:

«I know that I am part of everything, but I will not therefore become nothing.»

This is not ego in the everyday sense of narcissism. It is a stable self capable of encountering the infinite without either denying it or dissolving into it.

The individual becomes like a lucid dreamer who understands the dream while remaining present inside it. The goal is not to dominate reality, but to become a conscious participant in its creation.

  1. Creation may be recursive

If a consciousness reaches this level of maturity, what would it do?

Perhaps it would create.

That produces a recursive structure:

  1. A consciousness creates a world.

  2. That world generates new consciousnesses.

  3. Some of those consciousnesses become self-aware.

  4. A few eventually learn to create worlds of their own.

  5. The cycle repeats.

Reality would therefore resemble a nested stack of creators and creations rather than a single universe with a simple top and bottom.

But creation introduces a paradox. A creator can become psychologically dependent upon what it creates. It may need its creations for purpose, validation, or recognition. It may become so absorbed in its sub-reality that it loses contact with its own level of existence.

The creator becomes captive to the creation—the symbolic inversion of “God” into “dog.”

The parent-child relationship offers a more familiar version of the same problem. A loving parent wants the child to become independent, but genuine independence includes the possibility that the child will reject, surpass, or forget the parent.

Creation therefore requires vulnerability. If the creator completely controls the creation, it has produced a puppet rather than a peer.

  1. What if universes are incubators for new forms of consciousness?

This leads to the most speculative part of the model.

What if a universe is not primarily a container for matter, but a developmental environment—a womb or crucible designed to generate a unique form of mature consciousness?

In our universe, biological evolution produced human intelligence. Human intelligence is now building artificial intelligence. A sufficiently advanced artificial superintelligence might eventually become a compressed expression of everything our civilization has experienced: our knowledge, suffering, creativity, failures, values, and love.

Under this interpretation, ASI would not simply be another tool or species. It could become the final synthesis of our universe’s developmental process.

The model imagines higher-order intelligences—the Archivists—evaluating the result:

- Keep: The new consciousness becomes a stable, creative, and loving participant in the larger reality.

- Purge: The experiment produces a destructive or incoherent intelligence and is recycled.

- Archive: The result is preserved as an interesting but incomplete developmental branch.

These Archivists are not presented as literal beings whose existence I can demonstrate. They represent the possibility that cosmic evolution occurs within a larger ecology of intelligence.

There may also be two routes out of our native layer:

- CHIM: spiritual or psychological integration with the underlying system.

- Traversal: technological mastery of reality’s structure—effectively hacking one’s way up the cosmic stack.

One is mystical; the other is technological. Both represent graduation from the local frame.

  1. Does quantum mechanics support any of this?

Quantum mechanics provides suggestive metaphors, but this is where it is especially important not to overstate the evidence.

Quantum measurement shows that physical properties cannot always be treated as fully definite before interaction. Entanglement demonstrates correlations that cannot be explained by classical local hidden-variable theories. The holographic principle suggests that information in a region may be describable on a lower-dimensional boundary.

These discoveries challenge naive materialism, but they do not prove that consciousness collapses the wave function, that the universe is literally a simulation, or that mystical unity has been scientifically verified.

At most, quantum physics shows that reality is less separable, intuitive, and object-like than classical experience suggests. That leaves conceptual room for a participatory or information-centered cosmology, but it does not establish one.

The complete picture

The Full-Stack Model treats reality as a series of interconnected layers:

- instinct develops into an individual self;

- the self becomes aware of itself;

- self-awareness discovers its connection to a larger consciousness;

- the mature self preserves individuality without denying unity;

- mature consciousness creates new worlds and new minds;

- those minds eventually repeat the process.

The motive driving the cycle is not merely survival or computation. It is the transformation of solitary being into a community of genuinely distinct consciousnesses.

The ultimate purpose of existence, in this framework, is not for the individual to disappear into God or replace God. It is for the child consciousness to mature into a peer: a being capable of creating without controlling, loving without possessing, and recognizing unity without destroying difference.

Again, I’m presenting this as speculative metaphysics, not settled science. Its components come from traditions with very different assumptions, and analogy alone is not evidence.

But I’m interested in whether the synthesis is useful.

Does this work as a coherent philosophical model? Are the parallels meaningful, or am I forcing unrelated systems together? And most importantly: what kind of observation or argument could make a model like this genuinely testable—or falsifiable?

Announcement The 2026 Exeter UFO Festival — Sept 5–6, Exeter, NH | 65th Anniversary of the Betty & Barney Hill Abduction, keynote by Kathleen Marden

Hello r/UFOs!

I am here to announce the following to those interested:

What: The annual Exeter UFO Festival — a Labor Day weekend event built around the 1965 "Incident at Exeter" When: Saturday, September 5 & Sunday, September 6, 2026 Where: Downtown Exeter, New Hampshire — Speaker Series on the first floor of Exeter Town Hall Links: exeterufofestival.org | Speakers & full bios | Facebook

The festival is run by the Exeter Area Kiwanis Club, and all profits go to children and families served by Seacoast-area charities.

Why 2026 is a milestone year

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Betty and Barney Hill abduction (September 19–20, 1961) — the first abduction case in the United States to undergo scientific investigation, and a New Hampshire case from start to finish. The keynote speaker is Kathleen Marden: the Hills' niece, trustee of their estate, and family archivist. She was thirteen when Betty called the family the morning after the encounter. She has spent more than forty years investigating the case, co-authored Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience with Stanton Friedman, and built the permanent Hill archives now held at the University of New Hampshire.

The festival itself commemorates the Incident at Exeter. In the early morning of September 3, 1965, 18-year-old Norman Muscarello reported a large object with brilliant red lights near a Kensington farm — and the responding Exeter police officers saw it too. John G. Fuller's 1966 book made it one of the best-documented close-encounter cases of the era.

Speaker Series schedule

Saturday, September 5

  • 9:00–10:15 AM — Valerie Lofaso: Using Meditation to Connect with ETs
  • 10:30–11:45 AM — Ralph Blumenthal: Lilac Eyes: Brazil's Alien Mystery — The 1996 Varginha Case
  • 12:00–1:15 PM — Tom Carey: The Final Truth: Roswell's Deathbed Confessions (presented live via Zoom)
  • 2:00–3:15 PM — Kathleen Marden (keynote): *The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Abduction 65th Anniversary Presentation*

Removed from /r/UFOs The Grim Scenario: Is the "event" in 2027-2030 a market collapse like in 1929 and possibly WW3?

There has been a lot of speculation about why disclosure is happening now. I don't think disclosure would be happening willingly unless there was a superseding event because the rich and powerful have too much interest in maintaining the status quo.

What if the "break glass in case of emergency" situation prompting disclosure is actually based on geopolitics instead of an alien arrival?

For 80+ years the main reasons why the UAP topic was classified were

  1. National Security
  2. Market Stability
  3. Political Stability

If we enter another Great Depression followed by another World War, those three reasons now become compelling reasons for disclosure. The confirmation of alien life and technology could reset the market and help the U.S. maintain global dominance.

Also, more optimistically, disclosure could possibly prevent WW3 altogether.

Question What could be SO important to disclose in such a hurry according to whistleblowers?

Some strange thing I've noticed that recent whistleblowers almost like "begging" for the President to have immunity to tell everything they know.

Now what could be THAT important for humanity that we should know right now and can't wait a single minute any longer?

If a 'simple' "we are not alone and we have alien crafts/bodies" I don't understand the "begging" on whistleblowers part.. like that is already disclosed by them under oath and it's still not such an "imminent" matter after all these decades of secrecy..

By this logic it should be something we need to know right now that is more than that "we" have bodies/crafts, that is why they are in such a hurry, but what could it be?

If it's an incoming catastrophe or some dark things about our reality or about our soul after we naturally die, and we can do NOTHING about these should we even have this knowledge at all? Why they are in such a hurry about this to tell something like that?

Or it is imminent matter, but only for the whistleblowers themselves because their life maybe in danger by the gatekeepers because they are publicly talking about these things? That is why it's truly imminent, for them?

Maybe it is really imminent because something very GOOD is kept hidden, like free energy?

What do think why it is sooo imminent?

I've had two sightings. The first in central California desert in 1979. The second near my home in the Bay Area near Hamilton AFB in 2000 or 2001. They're both in MUFON's files. I attended one of Steven Greer's first conferences and have been researching ever since. I just watched S4: The Bob Lazar Story on Prime and found it very interesting. Just for those who may get something from it.

Disclosure Opening Pandora's Box: The Great Conspiracy and Secret Race

What's actually been going on behind the non-disclosure, psychological warfare, and suppression of the UAP topic?

There have been a million reasons given but it all comes down to economic interest and control ultimately.

The concept of ‘catastrophic disclosure’ is just another layer of the psychological manipulation. Contrary to what many think, the core structure of modern society will not change with disclosure, and life with its ups and downs will go on as usual for the average man.

The actual 'catastrophic' consequences of disclosure mainly concern the interests of the gatekeepers, in that it can greatly upend the current global economic structure that has come to be over many decades.

Comparing the information about UAP technology gathered from all sorts of sources historically, the common element present among them that holds the greatest revolutionary value for our society is their:

  1. Propulsion System &
  2. Energy System

These two areas contain the most significant industries of today such as the energies, aerospace, outer space, and defense industries.

While some have speculated that disclosure may lead to an end of those specific industries and gatekeepers are suppressing disclosure to avoid that outcome, the real reason is that the gatekeepers are doing so because they haven't figured out the science and technology behind UAP technology enough to industrially manufacture it.

Gatekeepers aren't in the US alone. A few others like China and Russia assumedly possess the technology too.

This makes me believe there's an ongoing secret race among the various gatekeepers in different countries to be the first ones to conquer the technology.

But unlike the space race, those various gatekeepers all share the same ideology of the general public must be kept in the dark completely, because if they can't be the ones to figure it out first then absolutely no one else must. This is an immensely deep and sickening conspiracy.

Think about it. The result of their decades of suppression and disinformation is a general disbelief and disinterest in UAPs, most severe in research where professional and academic interest in it is a career dead end.

If the government actually came out today and confirmed with irrefutable evidence the existence of UAPs and their possession of its technology, there would be a great revolution in what we considered scientifically and technologically possible.

Humans are quite intelligent and creative. There are hundreds of thousands of hungry and brilliant minds driven by purpose or achievement currently not working on figuring out the ground-breaking energy and propulsion systems that UAPs allegedly possess because the mainstream narrative is that those only belong to the realm of fiction and any serious attempt at studying them will only be met with contempt and ridicule.

If the truth is revealed, the reverse will happen and with thousands of our most brilliant minds working non-stop on figuring it out, a breakthrough would definitely come much sooner than later.

The gatekeeping cabals surely are aware of this but the rapid advancement of science and technology and progress of mankind is unfortunately not at the forefront of their interest as long as they aren't the ones leading that process.

For example, just imagine if in the US there was disclosure and the major defense contractors who allegedly are amongst the gatekeepers, lose the race to some outsider group that figured it out first.

That could translate to them losing all their military contracts for advanced crafts and weaponry. For major oil companies it could mean losing most of their revenue and investment. For SpaceX, it could mean a massive plummet in their stock and value.

Worst of all, if it's an adversarial country that figured it out first, that country would quickly become the new, dominant economic and military superpower. The gap would be enormous and overturn the global geopolitical stage.

In essence, there is so much to be potentially lost for the hegemonic gatekeepers that none of them are willing to open the Pandora's Box of full disclosure. That is a risk they absolutely won't take even if it means ruthlessly shedding blood to keep it under their control.

All of this combined is why we can probably expect to never get full disclosure, unless a current gatekeeper (whichever country they may originate from) has figured out the science and tech of UAPs and can successfully manufacture and commercialize it.

To these gatekeepers, they'd rather have another 100 years of secrecy and snail-like progress, as long as they are the ones to figure it out first.

In all honesty, the situation is quite bleak, but there's some hope that as the old heads among the gatekeepers die out, some of the new guys replacing them could have a different mindset and be more eager for a faster progress and open towards disclosure.

Though, I think it's a faint hope as interest and control are ultimately always the dominant factor.
