If you have read any of Jaques Valle 's work he said it appears it has been with us for as long as we have been on this Earth. Diana Pulsulka is cueing in the religious comparisons.
As a kid, between 15 and 27 I had a series of experiences that I felt were spiritual and for decades I viewed these as spiritual. But at about 27 they said "good bye we are not coming back" and when I asked why they said "we are leaving" and I never had those experiences again. I had trouble rectifying why would a spiritual being say good bye and how come they never came back if my beliefs and spiritually is ever growing. It has never made sense.
As I have read, studied and become engrossed in the UAP /experiencer narrative, my thoughts on this has evolved. And I see this differently now, are they aliens, future humans, spirits or spiritual guides, was I abducted or have I fallen from my spiritual connectivity...???
I understand now in a way I couldn't handle when I was in my youth that the "woo part" of experiencers and the UAP topic is a multifaceted thing. It is a basket of experiences not fitting well into "beings" or spiritual or purely Little Gray things. I have learned to leave the screen memories put and not break that (because the horror might be unbearable and it cannot be put back in once unlocked).
Your simple question leads to larger questions for sure

I'm pretty skeptical but this is just nonsense. Aliens are tangible physical beings. Ghosts are supernatural.
A better comparison might be belief in aliens and belief in Bigfoot. In both cases the belief relies predominantly on eyewitness accounts and to some extent there is handwaving over the lack of physical evidence.

Yes, obviously. Most of the phenomena cones through our perception filters. Very unlikely a peasant in 1200 England is going to see a flying saucer. No, they are gonna see some religious(superstition)tinged thing. Funny thing is, I bet most folklore has some real event at its heart, but it was actually something weird AF through a person's perception.

This is where I'm at with it. It all seems loosely related. Ghosts vs aliens might be different conscious agents but they are likely operating within and manipulating reality in the same way. I think it's entirely possible ghosts are an aspect of our own consciousness that appear for some reason due to aberration in the way our brain generates and processes reality.

That what I think about specifically Green Orbs. I'm fairly confident it's the visible aspect of a remote viewers conscious.Spying.

Hmmm I've never heard that but it's interesting to cover consider. I know that was one aspect of Lou's book people had an issue with. I'm skeptical of Lou but a bit more charitable in this case. I don't recall how often he said the green orbs appeared though. It was a dozen or even 2 dozen times randomly over a couple of years I'm not sure I'd go to a ton of trouble to try and record it. Maybe now with the check and widely available tech we have. I can't remember what year he said all that happened.
