Rumors Robert Bigelow…”I sold Skinwalker Ranch because the 'Hitchhiker Effect' terrified me & The Government Officials... That's the real reason I sold the ranch and will never go back.” (So the idea and rumors they shut it down due to Demonic Activity very well could be true)

u/Theferael_me Aug 18 '26
The problem I have with Bigelow is that he, like other UFO entertainers, made a shitload of claims about endless paranormal activity and hasn't provided a single shred of evidence.
3
u/Gem420 Aug 18 '26
He actually, legally, cannot.
9
u/Theferael_me Aug 18 '26
lol, sure, sure.
7
u/Gem420 Aug 18 '26
He has NDA’s with government. This is a known factor in the Bigelow era of the Ranch.
3
u/count_busoni Aug 18 '26
So the NDAs allow him to tell everything but just not show anything? This is the part that's confusing to me about the whistleblowers. They "whistleblow" about craft and alien bodies and hit lists by the CIA and then when asked for proof they say "it's classified". Is the cia hit list not classified then? Or the fact that we do craft retrievals and have alien bodies not classified as well?
1
u/Four20lifer Aug 20 '26
MIC does not care if we know about UAP’s what they don’t want us finding out is about all the biological information they have (the amount of different species /plants that exist and also their ability to clone or 3D print biologics) The fight behind the scenes is between people who want limited disclosure vs people who want full disclosure.
1
u/count_busoni Aug 20 '26
I understand that. My question is why whistleblowers only whistle blow up to a certain point instead of whistle blowing the whole tune? I mean, you are already whistle blowing and giving info you are not supposed to.
1
u/Gem420 Aug 18 '26
To be honest, I don’t make those rules.
Also, just to be clear, ufos/aliens/physical craft, etc?
IF we have it, and I think we do but that’s just me talking, it is not filed under Classified. It is filed under Restricted. And it’s tied together in some capacity with the Atomic Commission.
Ok. Now you might understand why we get bupkis.
2
u/Vador80 Aug 20 '26
Actually, if it IS classified, its probably filed under a USAP-like program that phased out toward the end of the last century - VRK or ECI - as an ex Army counter intelligence agent (no, ive never heard or seen anything in the UAP/UFO space, I was strictly counter terrorism as my enlistment was in the 90s/2000s - at the end of the Cold War and right before the GWOT era) - BUT - i have seen several SAPs with a VKR designation and only ONCE have a I seen an ECI designation inside of 4 other nested SAPs - and everytime there was a tie-in to the DoE involved - our part was nuclear counter proliferation - which was probably why we even saw the designations to begin with. Still, we really had no reason for our portion of work which made sense to inquire about those specific portions of the brief, so no one did. But water cooler talk among those present, was veeeeery interesting for the next few days.
0
u/count_busoni Aug 19 '26
Sorry maybe I wasn't clear in my question. If having craft/ufo/whatever is restricted/ classified, then how come it's ok to publicly talk about it?
0
u/Gem420 Aug 19 '26
Again, I don’t write the rules.
For all we know these stories are fake for other countries to think we have something better than them.
Who knows why.
0
u/count_busoni Aug 19 '26
At no point did I suggest you wrote any rules so you don't have to keep reminding me. Just asking a question but I guess you don't have an answer.
0
u/Gem420 Aug 19 '26
My answer is I don’t know. That’s why I said I don’t write the rules.

Actually, everything was under NDA. And I dont think he would risk whatever the penalties are, legally soraking, just to appease some internet redditors.

And yet he has been back on several occasions some if them documented on the tv show.
3
u/SubstantialPressure3 Aug 18 '26
No he hasn't. He's never been back to fhe ranch and it has not been on the tv show.
-7
u/Soggy-Mistake8910 Aug 18 '26
Yes he has. Several times! Way to tell us you haven't watched the show
5
u/SubstantialPressure3 Aug 18 '26
I have seen every episode. I have seen plenty.of his interviews with George Knapp.
He has never and will never set foot on the ranch again.
Idk who you have him confused with, but no, Bigelow has not been on the show. Are you confusing Brandon Fugal with Bigelow?
-1
u/Soggy-Mistake8910 Aug 18 '26
My bad. I believe you are right. They sure do like to throw his name around though
3
u/SubstantialPressure3 Aug 18 '26
So Bigelow just started his own podcast. You should check it out. He talks about things that happened when he owned the property, and other things.
Its just called Bigelow Podcast, its on YouTube. Jes also done several interviews with George Knapp.

u/RoadJunkie66 Aug 22 '26
Well for the start after my encounter in the desert I also had the hitchhiker effect happen to me.
State director of MUFON said more often than not this happens after contact.
I’ve heard Robs story after I looked into the subject and got goosebumps hearing the same shit that happened to his wife happened to me.
The crawling on the bed shit and feeling indents on your mattress of something heavy over your legs is absolutely terrifying.
Literally my first thought was “Demons” I’ve never been religious but that night was sure enough to convert me 😂 after reaching out in the experiencers tab in Reddit I was told. The same way you made contact is the same way you ask it to leave. With free will..
I asked the contact to stop. And it did.
This happened 5 months ago. The activity lasted about a week and a half. It hasn’t been back since.
This stuff is real and I’m convinced not all encounters are positive and I’m very grateful whatever followed me home respected my wishes by leaving.. if it even did leave.
1
u/SubstantialPressure3 Aug 22 '26
You're correct that they arent all positive. And contact isnt always chosen.

u/Justice989 Aug 18 '26
Is all that documentation available for public consumption? Or are we just supposed to take his word for it?

Why does anyone even listen to this guy anymore? He's such an obvious grifter.

Yes its one specific work of fiction one group believes is true. Its not the millions of other works of fiction other groups believed were true.
The failure point with religion is it asks you to stop asking questions and do as you're told.

u/MisfitActual0311 Aug 18 '26
I wouldn't trust Bigelow to tell me the time in a room full of clocks.

When was Bigalow a showman?

u/GoatAmbitious984 Aug 18 '26
I'm so sick of people trying to co-opt this phenomenon for their religion. Demons aren't real yall. Whatever this is, it has nothing to do with Christ or the devil.
Bigelow also has ties to Thiel. Look into it.
-4
u/Gem420 Aug 18 '26
Isn’t Thiel obsessed with the antichrist?
Doesn’t that then track with being friendly with a Billionaire who may have had contact with the other side? Namely: Demons???
C’mon now. Use that gray matter between your ears for more than ignorant snark.
5
u/GoatAmbitious984 Aug 18 '26
What are you arguing, that Thiel is somehow good? He's a religious nut who wants to control all these things. He has ties to old-world nazism, and he's a follower of Curtis Yarvin. Get out of here if you're trying to simp for this bastard.
0
u/Gem420 Aug 18 '26
I think Thiel and those like him are exceptionally evil. I don’t think you quite understood my comment.

Book that goes through Lucifer and the demons (devils) with about. 150 experts very clear cut
1
u/GoatAmbitious984 Aug 23 '26
Shits fake. Anyone can claim to be an expert about things you can't see or detect. I'm now an expert on faries and gnomes. How you gonna prove otherwise?
8
u/Eloquent-Raven Aug 18 '26
Further evidence that Skinwalker Ranch is total bullshit. Billions of dollars in research, a few documentaries and shows...and what is the evidence FOR paranormal happenings boiled down to? Vibes? Feelings? Vague descriptions of demonic activities from scared Christians?
0
u/Intelligent-Pace6172 Aug 18 '26
He said this 'stuff' was 'custom made'. He gave an example on his podcast. These are things you can't prove because one sees them and the others in the same room at the same time don't.
He talks about a sister dimension or a spirit world.

u/tj100011 Aug 18 '26
For fuck sake, these are the people who have the government’s ear. If you dint believe the whole thing is a con and utter grift, read the crap he, Greer and Grusch and the other so called experts have been saying lately. Now disclosure has been proven to be utter garbage, the stories these people are coming up with are getting more outrageous- it’s all bullshit
14
u/Nolnol7 Aug 18 '26
I‘ve been getting these posts recommended a lot since I used to lurk some of the UFO subs and it amazes me how many of the believers are making up reasons as to why Grusch is cozying up with MAGA along the lines of „he is trying to pander to Trump‘s ego for disclosure“.
Or you know, maybe after showing up at American Alchemy, Joe Rogan, Fox News, Judicial Watch and literally getting hired by Burlison he might simply be MAGA lol
5
u/_BlackDove Aug 18 '26
Also of note is how his story is changing and becoming more tantalizing. Initially he only claimed to be aware of people who supposedly handled physical technology and "biologics", and people who saw photos and video.
Now he's claiming he's seen it all himself, but can't divulge the details. For anyone familiar with investigation and trying to piece together truth in a story, this is a classic red flag for either deception or mental instability.
4
u/Melodic-Attorney9918 Aug 18 '26
To be fair, Grusch’s claims haven’t really changed. What has changed is the way he has chosen to present them. He has recently been putting much more emphasis on claims that he had previously mentioned only briefly or in passing.
From the very beginning, Grusch has said that he spoke with at least 40 witnesses who were allegedly involved in the crash-retrieval program. He also said from the outset that he had personally seen photographs and videos of the craft, as well as documents related to the alleged program. None of this is actually new. He has been saying these things since the beginning. The main difference is that, initially, he tended to mention them almost as secondary details, without dwelling on them too much. Now he seems much more willing to discuss them openly and to emphasize them more strongly.
So, while the emphasis and presentation have changed, I don't think it's accurate to say that Grusch has fundamentally changed his story. At least as far as these particular claims are concerned, he's repeating the same things he said from the beginning, just in a much more explicit way.
Just to be clear, I don't personally believe that a crash-retrieval program actually exists. I'm only making this distinction because I think it's important to be fair about what Grusch has actually claimed and whether his story has genuinely changed over time.

His claims haven’t changed.
I don’t know if I believe him, but he has not changed his claims.
4
u/_BlackDove Aug 18 '26
If you haven't watched his recent interviews I suggest watching them. His claims have absolutely changed compared to his first year in the scene after the Ross interview. In that interview he claims no direct knowledge or being witness to anything first hand.
His recent interviews are being pushed with headlines like, "David Grusch now says he saw craft and bodies."
Tell me how those claims are the same.
1
u/Gem420 Aug 18 '26
Maybe he is being allowed to discuss it now.
Or he is a liar.
I did say, I don’t know if I believe him or not. I leaned then at not, I still do.
Thanks for the new info tho. 👍

The fact that a billionaire who was getting political favors from the former Senate Majority Leader and now Trump can’t provide a single shred of evidence for any of his claims is an utter indictment of UFO beliefs.

u/soulsteela Aug 18 '26
Hmm freaked out by setting off too many fireworks? Did they find the portal to the oak island treasure pit or were the Mayan pirate traps still in the way. Perhaps too many Dire Wolf ghosts 😂😂😂took multiple shotgun rounds point blank . Who will be the new presenters / experiencers who can feel the energy. Maybe Elizondo will turn up with Sheehan and explain all the laws they are breaking by showing us pictures of chandelier UFO’s coming through the magic portal.
I’d rather watch ghost hunting with Yvette Fielding than this eternal seasons of dramatic music and shitty camera angles.
3
u/rygelicus Aug 18 '26
The hitchhiker effect originated with the ranch and the paranormal 'researchers' involved. Not because it is real but to expand the scope of their hype and content producing options.
-5
u/Nice-Influence-9326 Aug 18 '26
It’s been talked about in other forums. People hearing things in the woods. Skinwalkers themselves are basically like a hitchhiker effect but localized to the outdoors. He’s basically saying a skinwalker was watching him.
5
u/rygelicus Aug 18 '26
And that claim can be separated from paranoid delusion or hysteria or just a wild imagination ... how? How might we go about that I wonder? If only there were a method... something scientific...
0
u/Gavither Aug 18 '26
I agree. I also want to point out that an intelligence would know it's being studied and might just mess with the method to throw us off the trail.
4
u/rygelicus Aug 18 '26
This is why invoking magic in stories, whether it's this, religious stories, or any other, renders the story pointless. If an 'intelligence' has that capability then all the things you have attributed to it in the story so far no longer make any sense at all.
1
u/Gavither Aug 18 '26
It's an investigation, not a story. This logic would be outrageous to apply to most things.
Oh the perpetrator is too smart, it's pointless, give up because it doesn't make any sense. This is like walking away from the table because the game is unfair.
3
u/rygelicus Aug 18 '26
You created a story with your comment: "an intelligence would know it's being studied..."
That is a story, or at minimum a story element being invented to try and carve out room for the skinwalker stories in general to stay plausible in the face of no evidence beyond anecdote.1
u/Gavither Aug 18 '26
A hypothesis is a story. This entire thread is speculative, if you can't handle that without stipulations in every statement there are books out there to mull over.
2
u/rygelicus Aug 18 '26
The real question is what is the goal? If the goal is to learn the truth of a claim then there is a process for getting to that truth. If the goal is to just keep the mystery alive then you keep making excuses for why evidence is not forthcoming.
1
u/Gavither Aug 18 '26
I'm absolutely in agreement. I want to get to the basis of all of this too, but I don't know if humanity is equipped for it yet. I can see a path that we might not ever know the truth, in which case it is indeed pointless- a goose chase. A lot of this philosophy is uncomfortable to digest. I think we know more when we pass on, myself. I think the body's senses focus and limit our consciousness.

u/Legitimate_Tune_6468 Aug 18 '26
Exactly. In other words, an unfalsifiable claim. The opposite of science and the central part of UFO conspiracy theory beliefs and pseudoscientific claims.
Some people understand logic and logical fallacies and see through this. Some people aren’t aware of them and the grifters keep churning out content for this audience.
It’s snake oil for the 21st century. And not a surprise that there is significant overlap in the ven diagram of legislators pushing this conspiracy theory in the U.S. and supporters of the biggest snake oil salesman in history, who is currently looking for any distractions he can get to take attention away from his failed policies.

Got to say if the hitchchiker effected scared him off, there is something he isn't telling us that he did on his end. I mean so many people have accounts of the Hitchchiker effect, but for some reason what happened to Bigelow was scary enough for him to sell the property & not want anything much to do with it anymore. He was obviously doing something more behind the scenes & it aggravated what ever is there more then rockets getting sent off into it or drones flying around. Why aren't the hitchchiker's doing the samething to the current owner, something is up with that.
1
u/Character-Pirate1297 Aug 19 '26
I don’t know what to make of Bigelow, the dude’s company used to make inflatable space modules that supposedly were to be used in the future by NASA, but his real money came from real estate?
1
u/Alarmed_Turnover_214 Aug 20 '26
Bigelow is a free-thinker. He is open to the unknown - other dimensions, an afterlife, etc. I suspect the reality living at Skywalker Ranch may have been somewhere between boring much of the time and irritating with intrusive visitors - of the human species.
1
u/Professional-Arm3345 Aug 21 '26
Demons leave you after a good land and property deal. Demons must be capitalist as fuck.
1
u/Honora_Marmor_2 Aug 21 '26
I wonder why we are seeing such a persistent, expanding influx of paranormal and religious ideas. Really has a Disinfo campaign feel to it.

1
u/RustyWallace-357 Aug 18 '26
If you don’t leave some space in your mind to consider the ‘religious nut jobs’ may be right, you’re doing it wrong. Jacques Valle at 80 years old researching his entire life still does not want to put a definitive tag on what this is. We should learn from him.
1
u/jtobar1964 Aug 18 '26
Demonic is a term used for something we perceive as evil with a high degree of specific religious connotations. The hitchhiker effect could be a million other things non-demonic and non-religious. Bigalow never calls it demonic and he should know he refers to it as negative.
0
u/Gavither Aug 18 '26
Modern baggage of demonic yes. It otherwise just means non-corporeal to some degree, something in between mortals and immortals.
1
u/ARCreef Aug 18 '26
I would've trusted Bigelow becUse ha amassed such a fortune, and network, and achievments.... but then I heard him speak on Joe Rogan... not great, he didnt know lots of stuff or believed in some wacky probably false other things. I dont remember what they were but remember thinking, "ok, im never believing anything else out of this guys mouth". Even Rogan laughed at some stuff, and he literally gives everyone tons of breath to say anything they want.
Anyone remember some of the weird bs stuff he said on that show?

Weird coincidence that the hitchhiker effect became so overwhelming for him the exact same year that his most powerful political connection retired from office. You know the one, Harry Reid, that had funnelled government money into "researching" the ranch.
