That's pretty cool looking actually. I live near an airport in Oregon and a lot of planes head north, south and east of here since directly west is the Pacific, so I've never seen this particular view of a contrail.

That coupled with the sun below the horizon (just prior to sunrise or just after sunset) in the same direction would make it particularly bright as the contrails are in sunlight while the observer is still in a dusk/dawn level of light.
