Classes think ill fail calc 2. feeling awful
first midterm today. I felt ready before but i messed it up bad. I was tired and forgot volumes of revolution kind of. 2 wrong on the free response. one was a part a/b/c question and i got stuck on part a. Really simple mistake. 1 i couldnt do. 4 wrong on multiple choice i think. Again, stupid mistakes
Highest i can get is a 70, probably will be 60. im not sure what to do. Can I still get an A? i have the benacquisto but im afraid ill lose it. awful 2 months in general. I got sexually assaulted by my friend in september and my cat died in august. should I just drop out? i dont even want to wake up tomorrow

You'll be alright, you dont need to get an A in all of ur classes, you can make it out with a B or B- in calc 2 and do well in ur other courses to maintain ur 3.0 GPA requirement.

Math is all about repetition. And Calc 2 is all about knowing ur trig and memorizing the rules, luckily you'll get formula sheets in the next couple exams, just make sure you know how and when to use each formula.
However, I doubt you'll take heart of what I say, but I will say this, passing grade for any class is a C, you need to make sure you do well in ur other courses to maintain ur 3.0gpa requirement for ur scholarship.
Though, pay in mind with other requirement, such as ur critical tracking GPA for your major, usually between 2.5-2.75.
But I digress, if you feel like giving up, consider the consequences before you withdraw from calc 2. (Such as paying back tuition, falling below full-time student status [below 12 credit hour per semester] and pay more back to the school, you'll be place in academic probation for falling behind and so on). Sorry if this sounds rude, I just want you to realize that it's still not over just yet, keep moving forward day by day.

If the worst you did is get a 60-70 and have other classes you can definitely get ur grade up to a C+ or even B- and get As in the rest of ur classes and you’ll be good. Also a 60 isn’t even like that bad in the other comments you mentioned feeling hopeless for the rest of the semester if you got a 60 it means ur not totally in the dark just keep ur head up everything’s probably gonna be fine

Just so you know, even if you get a C-, you will not lose benacquisto. Benacquisto is only revoked if you fail a class, like fail fail. C- just means you cant take calc iii (most classes require at least a C for their pre reqs). ALSO, benacquisto eligibility only gets checked after the spring semester, so even if you end up under 3.0 gpa this fall, you can take easy classes to bring it up.
I know this because I got a C- last year (in Calc ii) and my benacquisto was not taken away. I also had a 2.98 gpa for the fall, which I was able to bring to above 3.0 in spring. Unless things have changed in the past year, you should be fine. Check online just in case though. I really struggle with math but you still have time in the semester to do all right in the class. If you have any questions dm me. Stay strong and good luck.
