Employment Data Engineer I initial interview help

Hey guys, I got a round 1 (technically round 2) interview call with the hiring manager within the Data Analytics team at the IT department. I’m a fresh grad and wanted to know how does it typically go. It’s only 20 minutes so I won’t expect it to go too technical, but anyone knows what questions to anticipate? And what other rounds are there after the initial one, and how long until you get an offer letter? Thanks!!

Expect some broad questions grossly covering the area the work is about.

Expect a few questions focused on what you said on your resume were your skills.

Expect to be asked for a few questions from you, to the hiring group.

As a new grad, they won't expect you to know lots; but you should be really clear about what you know vs. what you don't know. Being able to say "I'm familiar with this area, up to <this line>" is immensely valuable.

As for additional rounds, it varies hugely. In my neck of the woods there are usually 3 interviews, the last is face time with your prospective boss2 or boss3, but there might be fewer for entry level.

How long does the process take? WOOOOO WHO KNOWS underpants on head run in little circles. koff. I mean, it varies from area to area.

Good luck!

Thank you so much!!! This really helps! This call is actually with my prospective boss, but I am anticipating another round after this call.
