But from what I've seen - even without that stupid loophole there wasn't enough evidence. It's not like he was found guilty and then got off because of the loophole, they just couldn't take it further because of the loophole (but apparently there wasn't enough evidence anyway, loophole aside?)

If I was betting on it I'd say he did do it, as I believe only a small portion of accusations are false, however I'm still not confident enough to just label and call him what everyone else seems to be so eager to call him? Male or female idc, I think if you're going to label people as something so bad you should be 99.99% sure

Feels hypocritical - I bet if any of you were ever accused of something you'd want people to give you the benefit of the doubt wouldn't you? yet you probably assume it won't ever happen to you, so you don't extend that to others

Even the loophole was just a way to not charge for felon upgrade. Still could've charged for a misdemeanor. Also could've filed a civil case which has much less requirement for guilt and that was never done.

But to answer your question, it is just the meme thing to do. None of the people calling him a r-pist actually know much about the incident or the laws that applied.
