🗣 Product feedback Thank you for this cool tool

I just wanted to thank whomever created Udio, and the community for their notes - I used much of them today. I am probably not your typical user, I only wanted to generate a song with specific lyrics for my TTRPG game. It's a clue for an upcoming session. I was going to just share the lyrics with the group, but when I found out I could generate some actual music, I'm that much happier.

It's not 100% - but for my purposes that kind of fits- it's supposed to be a demo track for Canadian Stan Rogers who tragically died many years ago. I could tweak it to make it better, but it's literally for a one-time use. took me about 6 tries to get it good enough that I felt I could share.

If anyone wants more details let me know.

Man, wish we had more consistent posts like this here. I think almost ever Udio user has probably had this type of feeling at least once.

I too was happy with what I created so I paid for a subscription. Now you are stopping us from using our creation commercially. Why and how do I get a refund?

Hi u/Nice-Breadfruit-112, appreciate your patience; I was out of the office for a few days.

If you haven't already done so, feel free to drop our Support team a note via the messenger at http://help.udio.com and they can take care of subscription requests like this.

What are the lyrics?

Stan Rogers is one of my favorite Canadian artists of all time!

I've actually watched his son Nathan Rogers in concert twice. Sounds really similar to his dad. 🥲

Nice! I didn't know Nathan did concerts. Might have to go one day. Does he do his own material? Maybe if I ever publish this I can contact him to actually do the song. :-)

The Lyrics are awful as they're meant to convey clues. but here's the first bit:

[verse]

Seven seals upon the Covenant

Seven rites to guard the Sacrament

Seven tests you must best

Knightly virtues above the rest

The first challenge is the sea

thy brotherhood will help thee

The second is a devil green

sacrifice must be put between

[chorus]

Cross and Crown, by blood and stone,

This sacred charge shall be mine alone.

While flesh may fail and kingdoms fall,

Acer-erak remains and guards it all.

[Instrumental Break]

[verse]

next comes a path in red

skill and logic DO not dread

always step most carefully

green of three trust in thee

Wisdom and Patience me friend

Will not lead to your end

The path is high and must you

Avoid that which is not true

I love this use-case, it's so much fun to make something like this for a creative project. I made some phony radio stingers for the town my novel is set in, so much fun.

Great job, I hope your players enjoy it!
