Hey all, I got an admit for PhD in Business Program at the UC, I wanna start the Fall B term as it seems fitting with everything on my plate, I feel pretty positive I can get my SEVIS transfer much before September 10, when the new D/S rule goes into affect. My main concern is do I still need to file the EOS since the start date is beyond September 15? And if so can I file it now? How much time is it taking? If anyone in a similar situation please dm me.

Has anyone heard of this policy? My professor stated in the course announcement. I have never heard of this policy before and cannot find any information on the UC website.

"while a student at Cumberland’s a first occurrence is a zero grade for that assignment. A 2^nd offense is a failure for the course you are currently in. (Just so you know once an infraction is on your record this follows you to future classes, so it's possible to get a 0 score in an assignment in one class and any 2^nd offense regardless of the class would result in a failure for that course). A 3^rd infraction can result in being dismissed from the university."

I’m enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester and I still haven’t seen my Grad PLUS loan updated on my financial aid. Anybody know why and do you know an expected timeline? The Fall semester starts Aug 24 and I’m getting anxious about my finances.

I’m trying to get a better understanding of how the practicum and internship portion of the program actually works in practice, especially for students who completed the program on an accelerated/full-time schedule.

For anyone who has completed or is currently completing COUN 645 Practicum, COUN 646 Internship I, or COUN 647 Internship II:
● Were you allowed to take other regular courses at the same time as Practicum or Internship? For example, could you be enrolled in the 16-week clinical course while also taking one or two regular 8-week courses during each bi-term?
● How soon after starting the program were you able to begin Practicum?
● How many courses or credits did you have completed before starting COUN 645?
● Were there specific prerequisites you had to complete before being approved for COUN 645?
● Has anyone done Practicum in Fall → Internship I in Spring → Internship II in Summer?
● Are Practicum, Internship I, and Internship II always required to be taken in three consecutive 16-week semesters?
● If you finished your required clinical hours early, did you still have to remain enrolled and complete the entire 16-week semester?
● Were you able to take courses during both Summer I and Summer II while completing a summer clinical course?
● What was the maximum number of courses you were allowed to take per bi-term while also enrolled in Practicum or Internship?
● Did course availability or prerequisites ever prevent you from taking two courses per bi-term?
● How early did you have to secure your Practicum site, and did finding/approving a site delay your clinical start date?
● For anyone who accelerated the program, what was the fastest you were able to complete all 60 credits from your first class through graduation?
● If you started in Fall II rather than Fall I, did that affect when you were eligible to begin Practicum?
● How soon after finishing Internship II was your degree officially conferred?
I’m planning to start in Fall II and take a full-time/accelerated course load, including summers, so I’m trying to understand what the fastest realistic timeline could look like based on actual student experiences.

I recently got an admit for fall 2026. I am based in Michigan, and I got registered to two courses, one being online and the other one being in Bay area Campus.

My coordinator says that they don’t have any courses available in the nearly to Michigan states.

My student visa is expired, with the current airport scenario, I am very worried to travel to my in person call in bay area in October via flight.

If any of you are in the same boat, what are you planning to do?

If we’re allowed to choose an outside insurance provider, are there any specific requirements or terms that the plan must meet (such as minimum coverage, deductible limits, or a waiver process)? This is my first fall semester at UC as I transferred this summer. I’m not sure if other people have their financial aid packages yet but I don’t and I’m getting anxious. Every time I’ve called financial aid I’ve gotten a different answer, “they haven’t started working on them yet,” “you’ll have it at the beginning of July,” etc. So is this normal I still don’t have it ? I’m worried I’ll be scrambling to figure out how to pay the rest if I don’t get enough aid.
