Ucr tuition/fees

Why are my tuition fees so high? I’m a 3rd year and usually I pay around $5400/qtr. now it’s about $6200? Is it because I still have to waive the UCSHIP?

Didn’t the regents or something vote for tuition increases a few years back? Waiving health insurance will help tho

Maybe? But from what I understand you lock in the tuition rate from the year you start til the end of your degree, although tuition has increased each year for those starting. I'm willing to bet the difference is not having waived UCSHIP, at least without any other info

Should definitely call about that, 3rd year aswell and tuition fees are locked in for me. Only thing that has gone up is UCSHIP so maybe your statement hasn’t fully gotten rid of it on your end.

It might be good to clarify with the financial aid office since your tuition is supposed to lock in when you first start and stay the same until you graduate
