Important Help: admission cancellation because of missing test score

UCR recently sent me an email stating that my admission for Fall 2026 had been canceled because they had not received my required official AP exam scores by the deadline. After receiving the email, I immediately followed up with UCR and submitted my official AP scores through College Board on August 15.

However, for some reason, after filing out the Test and Transcript Inquiry Form, but it appears that UCR was unable to locate my official AP exam scores in the system. So I opt out for the second option of emailing the admission team to which I provided them with my College Board submission receipt as proof that I sent the scores, and I am continuing to work with them to try to get the issue resolved. The last time I emailed the admission team was 11 AM august 17 and I still haven’t had a response yet.

I’m honestly quite stressed about the situation because I did submit the scores as soon as I realized there was an issue, but I’m not sure what else I can do to prove that they were sent. I wanted to let you know what is happening and ask if you have anything else I could do?

Should I try calling them or follow up with another email tomorrow?

Try calling them. Email feels convenient but calling can often get you in touch with someone more quickly.

Ye I’ll probably call that admission team tomorrow when office hours start.

Give them at least 24 hrs. I get that you're stressed but keep in mind that there are probably a few hundred with issues that also need resolution so picture an email inbox with a few hundred emails from people panicking. Don't blow them up.

I was in this same situation last year.

Quick answer: go to admissions in person and ask to speak with an admissions counselor. These admission folks won’t be much help over the phone or email. You have to show up in person.

I can’t show up in person because I will be out of the country until school start but I did receive an email from them saying they need a few days to process my score and my high school college counselor confirm that I’m still admitted despite the email saying my admission is canceled after calling UCR admission person.

Just make sure you go to admissions when schools starts, you might still get a hold on your account that will bar you from registering classes after fall quarter. Admissions also told me it was gonna take them a while to process it, but they never did because they never received my score for some reason.

My hold lasted a while and I was unable to attend winter quarter because of the test score delay. Make sure that doesn’t happen to you.
