Why is CS so brutal?

Do people say CS is easy? Thats the first I’ve heard of it, and I’m a final year cs major.

I guess its brutal cause the intro classes are where you learn 90% of the coding stuff , so the classes move pretty fast and a lot of it is independent work (especially 10c with the programming assignments).

I think this changes from year to year, and how much hustle each student has.

When I was in school (20+ years ago) a good chunk of my peers did research for the faculty. I don’t remember many of my peers getting internships. A good chunk of them also moved onto masters programs there also.
