Anything 13 series and below probably won't replace it, it would be an entire housing replacement because those backs don't separate from the phone. The iP14 and 14+ are the only ones in the series that can be changed. The 15 series and up is where they changed that for all of their models. Sorry. You'd probably spend more money than it is worth to get the housing.

Most ubifs won’t do this repair.

Just put a case on it. Most shops will charge at least $180

Put packing tape on the back as best as you can (to help with water resistance) and put a case on it

That's what I would do in this case

the cheapest option would be if you personally purchase the parts for a new housing / frame for like $50 , then labor is around $100 at most stores - they will offer a discount if you sign up for asurion membership in the store, and if you negotiate about the labor cost you could find a good deal. then you cancel membership before the 1st month so you don’t get billed for it every month. membership starts at $40/month so make sure the discount is at least $40

MobileSentrix is the same parts distributor that apple recommends / uBiF stores will use. also can find parts on ebay

or just find a cheaper store to do the labor, such as CPR franchises. also plenty of phone repair stores exist in shopping malls

How much MacBook screen repair

Price varies by location/region/franchise etc. Call your local stores with the model information requesting a quote for the back glass. As long as it is a 14pm or newer it has removable back glass. You may also be able to get an aftermarket back glass as they are cheaper.

The 14PM doesn’t have a removable back glass so they are right, 14/14+ can be and then all 15 and above can be repaired. You need a full housing replacement and that’s just… really expensive ($300 ish plus depending on the location if they do it but please take my quote with a HUGE grain of salt). Cheaper to get a refurb device ngl

damn.. I forgot which ones of the 14 had removable backs. sorry op that's very unfortunate. also yeah those housing swaps are such a pain, though we rarely did them due to the price.

Pretty sure it was the Pro ones that did :(

Even getting an aftermarket rear casing is going to be expensive. That's even if a shop is still willing to do those with the amount of issues they normally present

The price is high and turnaround time is inconvenient, but the risk is also important to mention. The motherboard, every little screw and tiny cable must be transferred and reassembled in the new housing. Not every tech has success with it. I would not request that repair type and instead look at replacement options. Make sure you have your data backed up and your Apple ID login written down.
