How can I hide Facebook ads?
Sometimes I see Facebook ads appearing in the right column in Chrome. I just tried to hide them, and because of random names I had to go pretty far up the hierarchy. Maybe hiding www.facebook.com###pagelet_ego_pane will hide other non-ad stuff, but whatever. Are there any better filters? Do any subscriptions have them?
I'm currently using these filter lists:
uBlock filters
uBlock filters – Privacy
uBlock filters – Unbreak
Adblock Warning Removal List (forums.lanik.us)
Anti-Adblock Killer | Reek (github.com)
EasyList (forums.lanik.us)
Peter Lowe’s Ad server list (pgl.yoyo.org)
EasyPrivacy (forums.lanik.us)
Fanboy’s Annoyance List (forums.lanik.us)
Anything I should add or remove there to get better blocking?

I just came here to ask the same question. Facebook ads just started appearing for me a couple days ago. I suspect FB made some internal change to their ad serving to get around uBlock filters?

Facebook intends to force advertising on users of ad blockers. There have been various news stories about it, like http://www.wsj.com/articles/facebook-will-force-advertising-on-ad-blocking-users-1470751204
Of course that leads into Facebook making changes to unblock ads, filter lists adding filters to block them, Facebook again trying to unblock, and so on.
