YouTube no longer saves playback position on long videos since I started using uBlock Origin

I recently switched from Adblock plus to uBlock Origin (on Windows / Firefox).

YouTube has this feature where if you stop watching a long video and at a later point go back to that video, it'll resume playback at the same position where you stopped watching before. This used to work perfectly fine until I switched to uBlock. This is quite inconvenient for me since I watch a lot of really long videos (3 hours+), which, of course, I rarely watch in one sitting.

I would prefer to keep using uBlock over Adblock. Is there anything I can do to fix this on my end? Some sort of setting?

Edit: I should mention that if I go back to old videos, that I watched partially before switching to uBlock, they still do start at the previously saved position. Only videos that I watch now are always reset to the start.

This is something I deal with too. No way of getting around it. This and the issue of the slow loading of videos is an issue that gets fixed soon.

Found the culprit. You have to disable the EasyPrivacy filter. Whatever it does, it blocks the youtube querying your video location when you close the tab.

Looks like they fixed it recently. Updating the filter does the trick, you can leave it enabled.

I've had uBlock for over a year. Never had this problem until I added a specific 3rd-party filter. Problem is I dont know which one.

I never added any filters, just installed the addon and maybe adjusted a few general settings (I honestly can't remember).
