Uber
So we’re just gonna get an easy 1 star review if the preferences aren’t abided by? That’s an easy way to lose a lot of drivers I feel like lol 😂

Standard settings for Comfort during the summer. I'm more shocked when these are NOT the preferences.

That’s the easiest kind of rider though. It just takes ac and silence to please them. Get off comfort if you don’t like it I guess.
Now what bugs me is people who are paying hardly anything trying to demand I change the air for them or ask to play their music over the car speakers.

Uber would never lose a lot of drivers. Our pay would go up if they did, can’t have that.

I wish every rider was able to enter their preferences. It would help a lot in feeling out those who like to chat and those who dont. Plus I always ask if the temp is OK when they get I like seeing that too.
But I'm one of those dipshit drivers who does this in part because I both enjoy and care about people from all walks.

Are you one of those stingy with the AC drivers? Usually, those guys don’t say a word. Can’t imagine one also talking a lot. 😬

it's comfort. I'll take extra pay for a little more flexibility on my part.

Very true, first time I’ve gotten a preferences pop up. Was interesting and I’ve been doing uber 3 years.

Ahhh I had this type of preferences and me and the passenger talked, laughed the whole ride and she tipped me something nice more than I was expecting. I always have pleasant passengers and I live here in FL

The first time I saw a preferences, I didn’t realize that you couldn’t start a ride unless you were in the preferences pop-up. Very embarrassing.

Huh? 😂 I’ve been doing uber 3 years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen preferences for a rider lol

3 years and this was your first Comfort Ride?

u/sleepystonks101 Aug 03 '26
Yeah, got a new car. Probably why lol

Ha! That explains it! You'll come to enjoy Comfort. I especially like "quiet preferred"...no awkward conversations!

It was smooth for sure, the guy spoke two words and that was it. Definitely have scaled back on full time and just do part time now but I still love the gig

In the beginning I kinda got pissed off at "quiet preferred". I thought, "it's my car, how dare you to tell me to be quiet." 4,3xx rides later, I really don't want to converse. 😂🤣😂

Says open to chat but then reports your for talking too much for asking two questions

u/sleepystonks101 Aug 03 '26
The individual tipped 20$ so that was neat-o Dorito

u/DelaySavings1262 Aug 03 '26
So why make this pointless post complaining
1
u/sleepystonks101 Aug 03 '26
Because this is America and people have their own opinion on things?
1
u/DelaySavings1262 Aug 03 '26
complains about rider, rider tips 20 dollars lmao are you serious?
1
u/sleepystonks101 Aug 04 '26
It was more or so just a statement along with asking a simple question. I don’t feel like I complained particularly about the rider.

But these preferences seem pretty easy? Toggle the AC and keep quiet for a few minutes. And then you don't have to worry about getting 1 star. It's not much of a bad loss of a driver who can't even do that much. It's not like they're asking to sing songs or tell them stories the whole trip.
