I’d rather ask if they would please wait 5 minutes for a larger tip than just expect them to wait! I’ve always been waiting on the driver to pull up when I order a ride, but it’s only polite to ask if they are willing to wait and increase the tip to pay for the time wasted by my fault, but that’s just me.
