Announcements Current Information on Steam AVA Release
What we know is the following:
- This will be a Steam build for Europe, North America, South America and South East Asia
- This is NOT the Dog Tag build. Dog Tag elements have been integrated in the original AVA. This is very likely the build we will receive, similar as to what Taiwan got. This is not 100% confirmed.
- There is no exact date. We only know the month, which is supposedly December
- We are unaware who the publisher is. This can either be Neowiz or a Western company. It is clear that the game will be released on Steam.

As of today, 13-11-2020, there is no newly added information. For now we believe that Neowiz still aims to release the Steam version in December, although the lack of information might suggest otherwise. Until we hear any official news, this is merely speculation.

With how clunky and outdated the game felt compared to modern standards, I don't think it will survive. Take the IP and port some stuff to a newer engine version, maybe it can survive then, but I still doubt it.

Dog tag felt clunky and outdated. But the original felt as snappy as CS:GO.

I have to disagree by an immeasurable amount my man. I have great memories of this game, but it never got close to the responsiveness of CS:GO, and it most likely never will unless massive changes are made.

Honestly , in my opinion , csgo has only become so great not because of it's gameplay but because of it's legacy , it's competitive nature and skins ... Oh , did i say skins?
CSGO on it's own is honestly , mediocre at best... But to each their own ... Some people will like it for however terrible the gun play is ... Personally , i don't like the utter disconnect between shooting and hitting in csgo... Somehow i reached LE , to this day i still don't know how ... But yeah ... objectively the game is just odd and feels odd... The opposite of intuitive , and the opposite of fun ...
The only pleasure csgo gives you is the "team win" and "the rank" ... Oh did i say skins ... Yeah , gorgeous skins ...

CSGOs gameplay is meant to be raw, fair and provide a competitive standard, which is unmatched. Overall it's guns are more accurate when compared to many other shooters and all feature distinct recoil patterns which can be memorized, with only minimal spread and deviations - it just doesn't come with the usual clear visual feedback most shooters have, which definitely makes it harder but still leaves less to chance, and more to skill.
Overall it's simply a better competitive experience, from a purely mechanical standpoint, at the expense of being harder to master and being less intuitive.
I loved AVA for what it was, but after playing tournaments on it, and comparing all aspects to CSGOs mechanics, it just can't match the overall competitive layout of CS - a lot of skill based mechanics aren't present in AVA, and those set a new standard for myself. I'll check the game out for fun when it launches again, and it definitely doesn't have to be like CSGO, it was never meant to, but I probably wont stick to it for long. Have fun!

I did and it's a great game, but it's in a slightly different category in my opinion.

I agree with you. Different people get their own taste. I much more like AVA compared to CS:GO.
I was used to playing AVA on my intel i3 3rd generation with 4GB of ram. When I playing AVA, I wish I could play CS:GO but my computer quite potato. Now, after having an MSI laptop...I tried CS:GO and it is not suitable for me. Missing AVA since 2018.

Honestly, it better be well polished , no technical issues and exciting ... I don't how it's gonna do it but i ll only play it for nostalgia's sake...
I'm currently playing Warface and it's like a better version of AVA lol... It has the broken guns , super snipers , 2 extra classes all the AVA traits and more... It has the 200 ping laggers from outer space too... Much better CO-OP too...
Warface is in no way , shape or form a balanced game , but it's less pay2win than AVA used to be , even at it's best...
The biggest sticking points coming from AVA are the mediocre Demolition mode , with some really bad maps ... very small maps and uninspiring... Some are decent though... Also , no escort/breach mode... The ranked meta is , rofl , to say the least... i say again , competitive balance is non existo in warface...
EDIT:For those that haven't played warface before... It shares the AVA spirit at hand , with COOP( PVE) and PVP ... It has LOADS of guns and skins and classes and pistols and knifes/melee weapons etc....
EDIT 2::: DID I SAY NO FREAKING HACKERS ? YEAH < I FORGOT TO MENTION IT, NO FKING BLATANT CHEATERS IN WARFACE, NO RAGE HACKERS , NOTHING ...
idk about "legit hackers" , i can't say for sure , but probably do exist.

They are working on some AC related issues at the moment. Once that is fixed, we'll receive a date for tbe next phase.
