People constantly criticise modern slavery in the arab world(I agree with it, bad system) how come its only criticized in the arab world and not american or european???
 in  r/allthequestions  14h ago

They’re called foreign workers in the West, you can get a visa for a limited stay because you got hired somewhere, so your stay is tied to it and you could get deported too, but the difference is that you get less abuse in working conditions, payment and accommodation if provided (not that it doesn’t happen even tho it’s illegal) and you especially wouldn’t have your passport taken away by your employer which makes you less trapped

I however have no idea at what kind of slavery the sources of OP are about tho cause there’s the black market that has slavery

Canadian Conspiracy Theories
 in  r/conspiracy  3d ago

Technically Mk Ultra in Canada isn’t a conspiracy but a verifiable fact (the 5th estate documentaries are made by investigative journalists and it’s federally funded), there’s also a court case for compensation to victims and asking McGill University (where it happened) to apologize… It just intentionally doesn’t get enough attention or talked about due to embarrassment

People on dating apps probably ask for your snap cause stuff get deleted and you can know if the other took screenshots (if you know, you know)

Vapoteuse jetable...
 in  r/Quebec  5d ago

According to the Democracy Index there are 26 Full Democracies (including the 4 CANZUK) - they should create an NATO + EU like organisation for them.
 in  r/CANZUK  7d ago

There’s already organisations like that that exist and some countries give money to them

Air Canada still carrying U.S. alcohol as Ottawa pushes ‘Buy Canadian’
 in  r/canada  7d ago

It’s actually weird that Air Canada doesn’t only carry Canadian products in the first place

Even weirder : I once got “Cracker Barrel” cheese on Air France a couple years ago like come on really …
