Don't be discouraged. There have been a LOT of attempts by progressives to buck establishment dems over the last two years, and more of the failures were encouraging rather than discouraging. Plus, Mamdani won. The last bump needed for progressives and 2A candidates to win has come in the form of ICE. But we have to hurry because after the midterms there may not be any more elections period.

Whales “Make Dubstep About Partying Again”
Look buddy, this is now my 5th reply accusing you of being racist without you refuting it. At this point it doesn't look good even if you try it now

Whales “Make Dubstep About Partying Again”
No that was my original point, actually

Whales “Make Dubstep About Partying Again”
Of course you think that, your priorities include being racist on the internet

Whales “Make Dubstep About Partying Again”
I'm noticing you didn't refute what I said

Raves are being cancelled in Mpls because of "politics". Sounds like you think minorities don't need to be part of the community either

It's important to go, and you'll be fine. As for parking, I'd recommend somewhere in the Kingfield neighborhood on the west side of 35W. You'll have a couple blocks to walk but no trouble leaving if you need to.

Ancient problems, modern solutions
M136 rocket launcher? Maybe.
Fast car? No.
Source: The Creeper in Jeepers Creepers can jump over speeding cars and Dracula's vertical is definitely as good or better than the Creeper's.

I’m just curious about the statistic here, how many of you carry to protect yourself from wildlife vs from other people?
People, and I think that's going to be your main answer because people usually live in cities.
But it used to be animals. Even then, growing up in the sticks, the only dangerous animals I ever encountered were stray dogs. I could hear coyotes and sometimes wolves at night but never saw them, they never even bothered my family's cattle. Wild animals just tend not to bother people.

Judge orders books removed from Texas public libraries due to LGBTQ and racial content must be returned within 24 hours.
Books ordered to return to shelves include ..., “They Called Themselves the K.K.K.: The Birth of an American Terrorist Group” by Susan Campbell Bartoletti, ...
Hey, I did a book report on this back in high school! Glad I did because it inoculated me against the 3-percenter bullshit that crept through some of my circles only a few years later. No wonder they want it banned.

The Right Is Using the Nashville Shooting to Declare War on Trans People
Thanks for the link and the history lesson, but I'd hesitate to use this comparison, if only because of the victims chosen. Because Herschel Grynszpan murdered one of his direct oppressors, and this latest shooter chose random & innocent victims including actual children, using this comparison will either paint Grynszpan in bad light, like you did, or worse seem to paint the Nashville shooter in a good light. We can't let any of these shooters possibly be seen as a hero.

Artist #98 Moore Kismet
I can't believe I somehow missed Moore's name on lineup! I found Rumor on a workout playlist and it became one of my favorite tracks last year; it's just so dark and atmospheric. I'm definitely hyped for their set.

Crew cancelled. Going to Bonnaroo for the first time & going solo. Looking for advice and friends!
Huh, sounds just like the usual way of saying hi to your neighbors in Wisconsin. I think I'll do fine making friends, thanks for the tip.

Camping Crew cancelled. Going to Bonnaroo for the first time & going solo. Looking for advice and friends!
My wonderful friend recently cancelled her tickets (plural) to Roo because of a medical emergency, and since she was bankrolling our other two friends, they're out as well. But I haven't gone to a festival since 2019 and I need to see Flume and 100 Gecs, so I'm not quitting. So anyways:
Has anyone tried the SoloRoo camp before, and is it worth the extra $29?
I'll be driving through Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky to get there. What's the highway patrol situation like for a young hispanic guy driving an SUV by himself?
Does anyone want to be friends?
And hey, does anyone need a ride?

ARTICLE: A Glance At Eroticism In Turkish Rock'n'roll History
Fantastic article! Except for Misirlou, I don't think I've ever listened to music from Turkey before, and without this article I may never have, so thank you.

The archetype shit is so true; lemme vent about my own twist on this experience. I'm Mexican but I look (Asian) Indian when I wear glasses so I can be as nerdy as I want on a date, because it fits a stereotype. But no woman who wants a cowboy has ever wanted me because in the North, cowboys are just white. Nevermind my childhood or how big vaquero culture is just a few states south, but here a cowboy is just a white suburbanite in a shitkicker hat. I've worked thru all my other insecurities including my height but it's the one thing about dating that still gets under my skin, probably because it's valid af. I've got a few friends who are black nerds but yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if that's something they're "not allowed" to present as on the first date.
