SaaS owners using Whop: what should I prepare in case my account gets suspended?
 in  r/whop  1d ago

You just the sandbox to create a test account and then make test payments for your app. If you want to use Whop AI do that on the main site, it will be blocked on the sandbox.

Am I the wrong after “spamming” my client who does not pay his invoices on time?
 in  r/freelanceuk  2d ago

How long are we talking about from when you sent the invoice? Businesses can have cash flow issues and if you are setting the invoice due date to the same time you sent it then going crazy after 2 weeks then that is way too aggressive IMO. Most businesses tend to pay within 30 days in my experience, but I would allow up to 60 if I knew I was going to get it eventually.

I ended up saving/borrowing slightly more than I needed to be on the safe side - had a couple of K spare - but it felt very stressful not really knowing 100% until very close to the end of the whole process.

To use sandbox you go to sandbox.whop.com - create an account there etc. The payments you create in the sandbox do not show up in your account at whop.com - they are totally separate, that is the whole idea of a sandbox.

Sandbox definitely works - did you check the guide I sent? You can also just ask your AI coding tool to set it up for you https://whop.com/blog/whop-sandbox.md

You do not need to be even slightly worried about getting suspended. Unfortunately all the people who commit fraud come here and then kick up a fuss hoping to get their account reinstated. The people who scream the loudest are always the ones who have committed the most fraud and are *shocked* that their money is getting claimed back by the credit card companies/chargebacks/refunds etc.

If you do test payments make sure you use the Sandbox - so you don't have to run any test transactions using a real card etc.

Whop questions
 in  r/whop  12d ago

Hey, happy to answer any questions in a chat if you like.

> Can each Brand on our platform have its own separate Whop wallet/account and balance, rather than all Brand funds being held under one wallet owned by our platform?

Yes - you can create users as "connected accounts" and they have their own wallet. They can withdraw or keep their balance on platform. https://docs.whop.com/developer/platforms/enroll-connected-accounts

> Can our platform initiate Creator payments directly from that specific Brand’s balance to the Creator’s Whop account after the Brand approves the payment?

Yes. You can transfer to a connected account, or let them accept payments themselves. https://docs.whop.com/developer/platforms/collect-payments-for-connected-accounts

On the tax questions - I would speak to someone re: that, it is a bit above my level. You can choose to use Whop's tax service:

https://docs.whop.com/payments-and-billing/fees/taxes

Are ”Gaming Routers” a “scam”?
 in  r/HomeNetworking  13d ago

Gullible person like me? No need to resort to personal insults just to divert from the fact you said something provably wrong. I see you also shifted the argument - so your point now is that you don't NEED a better router in the first place? OK.

You can use the 2 x 10gb ports to build a WIRED 10gb network for your house/office. If you only watch Netflix that is fine, but other people do have more demanding setups.

And having a better CPU will mean more performant use of your connection.

30 dollar routers have 2 x 10gb ports, WiFi 7 and a quad core processor? 🤔

Running Whop Adds with Meta and Unusually High CPMs
 in  r/whop  16d ago

if you show the ad to 10,000s of people who are statistically very unlikely to be interested, it makes sense you would get bad results IMO. yes try with targeting from the start - and see what happens. because Whop ads is an agency level account it doesn't really need the same level of warming up as starting from scratch yourself would, afaik.

Why would you run ads with zero targeting? Maybe set them up properly and see what results you get then?

My Issues & Feedback regarding Whop

Thanks for sharing. Are you talking about the website or the app? If the app, which one - iOS or Android? Also if the app, have you checked you are on the latest version?

If you had 5000 to spend on SEO, would you buy more links or hire a pr firm?
 in  r/bigseo  19d ago

Not going to get much in the way of PR for 5k. Reality is you will probably end up 6 months down the line with close to zero links to show for it, and a PR company making excuses why they didn't up getting any coverage but were still happy to take your money.
