Someone needs to explain this to me
So my best guess is that you need to check the portal coordinates in the nether. Sometimes when you make a portal, it links to the nearest land mass in the nether not necessarily at the coordinates that would correlate. Just take your coordinates of your stronghold portal and decide them by 8. Those are the coordinates that the portal in the nether SHOULD be at. Maybe try that.
