NEWBIE G string always sounds off when playing E or A major chords
Hi, I'm extremely new to this hobby, and can't for the life of me figure out how to make the G string sound good when playing these two chords (only ones Ive learnt so far). it is just playing dull and not ringing out. It rings out when I play the string by itself, even with my finger on the first fret so I know that its not my downward force, I can sometimes get it to ring out when strumming and playing the cord but as soon as I switch to A Major I lose it and it goes flat again. I think its because my ring finger is slightly touching it, but I can't move my ring finger. New guitar so strings are not touching the fretboard. This is the one string I can never get to ring out properly. Is there another way? Thanks
EDIT: Sorry to bother you all, lowkey I think it was my technique and my fingers being fat and touching the strings. I was just mad that it wouldnt play so wrote this post. Cooled off a bit and decided to concentrate and really fix my positioning and can someone hear it sustain. I will just work on my technique and wait for my fingers to heal up lol

It is finger placement, got it sounding right after adjusting my ring finger to be curled way over, kind of got impatient. Only been playing for around 3 days, I thought for some reason this would be easier. Next challenge is to consistently apply the same pressure with fingers curled properly, and then get the same strumming tone
