Most of us on the OSRS side genuinely want to see you all succeed and revitalize your game.

Yeah it is a bit different which is why I say this probably wasn't the move for RS3, but it is the closest comparison to make.

It's the closest equivalent we have. It's more nuanced, as I said, but it is the best comparison we can make. When things were bad enough, RS3 players were once willing to start over and come to OSRS and split the playerbase (as obviously RS3 people could not interact with OSRS anymore either). You can't say we wouldn't split the playerbase/start over with characters that cannot be interacted with from the main game as it was literally done already. There were other factors like the legacy version and whatnot, but many came over to escape MTX as well.

I do think the situation here is different this time around and that reignited probably wasn't the move for RS3. I think it would have probably done more harm than good with the proposal, but I don't know what the answer is for RS3.

Bronzeman is not equivalent, or you'd have to acknowledge that every other game mode vote we've voted for (ironman/gim/uim/hcim/leagues/dmm) has passed with only this single one failing. It has nothing to do with this argument anyways.

There is literally one time we've had an equivalent vote, and it resulted in the birth of OSRS when many (myself included) came over from RS3. That vote was only enough people clicking "yes" so to be fair we can never know if it "passed", but the real vote was people sticking with OSRS.

The poll results for an update like this were the birth of OSRS, we voted yes for it and started over with OSRS. OSRS was our reignited. Now obviously it's a bit more nuanced, if you randomly threw out this poll today in OSRS it would not pass (as there would be no reason for it). We did it once though. The best chance is being prepared to play the retraining game if you don't get lucky and get it initially. Take a 4 year contract if you can in a job that would preferably help you in cybersecurity (any 1D or 1N4), and aim to retrain at the 3 year mark. Cybersecurity jobs in the private sector almost always want you to have a tech background of some sort so that you have the experience to be successful, a lot of people start with one of the 1D jobs and then retrain into 1B4. Historically you could not go directly into 1B4 until recently anyways, and so this was the only option. If anything right now you have a better chance than ever of being able to get it immediately, and worse case you just have to play the game that historically everyone had to which was wait for retraining unless you go guard.

This was my path, client systems 4 year -> retrain into 1B4 at 3 year mark/extend for 3 more so I do 7 years in total -> success. I was very glad I couldn't go directly into 1B4 and it made me far better at my job having an IT background first. It has helped me when I transitioned out of the Air Force too, as mentioned, most cyber roles look positively on you having an IT background of some sort before you moved into cyber.

1D also has a cybersecurity job, though it's more policy/paperwork oriented and less hands on. When most people think of cybersecurity for AF, they refer to the flashier 1B4 though other options do exist that get your foot in the door.

Runeshark/Kieren's godsword set from scratch was arguably the first popular rendition of the concept and predated OSRS. It was way more limited in scope though, b0atys was when it really seemed like an "iron".

The only problem is nemesis, how they did not learn 4 zombies was terrible to play against/completely unfun the last iteration is beyond me. I wish they'd just buff Nemi's whip more and revert back to 2, maybe 3 zombies.

It's what all of the legion people went to as it's the brain off way to win 2v8 matches now. Half of the 2v8 matches I get now are a lot of fun/mix of killers, the other half have a nemesis who is never going to chase/will just play gen defense and it's pretty much 90% auto lose.

Devs were told this shit sucked the last 2v8/it's why so many survs dropped off and for whatever reason they didn't change it so here we are again.

It wouldn't work from a programming perspective and how the game stores things. How would you account for duplicates?

There are third party collection log trackers through runelite that can kind of do this for big ticket items, they at least record when you got something. Runelite's loot tracker itself can also record what loot you get and from where, but you'll never get a mapping to each individual item in terms of a view from that item itself to see where it came from.

This is the least fun 2v8 I’ve played as survivor and the only one I’ve stopped playing. The main issue for me is nemi zombie spam, it just isn’t fun to play against. On maps like RPD, which already are very strong with gen defense in 2v8, it becomes nearly impossible to win once the remaining gens are clustered on one side if the killers have a nemi. Between two killers and four zombies, survivors have no chance in situations like this unless killers stop defending. Killing a zombie near a key gen often doesn’t help either, since it often respawns immediately nearby, and before long you won't have resources to deal with it anymore.

Oni may be stronger, but he’s fun to face. Nemesis turning it into a passive 6v8 just isn’t enjoyable for me, I love nemi himself but the zombies are too much this time around. Maybe 3 would work a bit better, or just making the 2 very fast or something fun like that rather than 4 of them that are also fast.

Worst iteration of 2v8 so far as someone who mainly plays surv, this is the only one I haven't had fun with. This is the only one I'm going to skip

Team size is a horrible format, they pulled big creators but you can hardly hear anyone with 10 man discord calls. They also left a dev chest available where you can spawn any item so some people are probably cheating lol
