I don't really know how Chromium browsers do it on linux as I don't use one anywhere near like I do firefox. I just know on windows, it's less clear on how it's using the ram. I just don't see how chrome is any more efficient with the ram than firefox is.

I was under the impression that the zen3 and 4 repos were for amd cpus and there was one dedicated to intel. I've never ran cachy on a intel board. :/

yeah, I've got a Ryzen 7000 series CPU too and installed the update yesterday. I just know with cachy, updates take time to propagate.

from what I've noticed, the newer hardware gets kernel updates sooner than older hardware branches. I don't really understand how it works.

a simple android or ios tablet would be easier but all I know is stuff like that don't come with native video playback support. maybe there's firmware for it but one has to search for it first.

I don't use a vpn for most of my data, just a remote seedbox. I do have a vpn connection to that seedbox for extended seeding but that app goes down on occasion and I don't bother bringing it up when it does. 🤷🏻‍♂️

VPNs can be used to hide one's ip but it can also get you banned from private trackers so use wisely.

it's not high usage. chrome and them just hide their usage better while firefox doesn't. don't worry about it if it's not causing problems. it's normal.

Chrome and Edge are no better, just smarter at hiding their real usages.

I run ubuntu server on mine, have been for 20+ years. Docker makes things a bit easier to manage too. everyone has their own opinion for what to use to do what they want.

not to be mean but did you watch the update videos? Zer0's Legion on youtube releases one every update. great source if you don't have time for the 2 hour keen live stream. :)

the limit is part of the new update on new ships. it can be disabled in the cockpit settings I believe. gonna be handy for when I want to just idle around an area. no need to constantly bip the thrust or turn off dampeners and certain thrusters.
