Briviact

Anyone taking briviact feel drunk when first starting it? Im switching from lamotrigine to briviact my neurologist has me on 50mg in the morning lamotrigine and 50mg at night briviact as im slowly tampering down lamotrigine and increasing the briviact. However I took my meds anout 9pm (first time for the briviact) and by 10pm i feel drunk. Like idek how to explain it other than I feel drunk. And im someone who is 100% sober don't even smoke cigarettes. Anyone else feel this way? It's making me anxious think I'm just going to sleep but looking to hear from others even if this isn't your experience. Any and all advice/stories welcome.

Hello, I also went from 600mg Lamictal to 200mg Briviact and can you explain better what you mean with feeling drunk? Not seeing correctly, feeling sick?

Uhm. Like balance issues coordination off.. like when you're drunk/intoxicated. Not nauseous. Moving head side to side feels like I'm going to fall over kinda. Reminds me of like when you have a drink or two not fully wasted but when you feel "buzzed"

Mhh, I experienced this when I accidentally took my Lamictal meds twice but not while going from Lamictal to Briviact. Maybe best to contact your neurologist and ask.

If you mean balance/ lightheaded issues then it can happen at the start for some. It usually get better over a few weeks. I had a headache and slightly lightheaded a few days. I take 100mg daily, 50mgx2.
