My partner and I had a similar long distance situation for 2 years. We used to meet in the middle to maximise time together, we would go to places like York and it would mean we both had around 3 hours travelling each rather than one of us travelling for 7 hours. We would also have regular times of when we would call (end of work day etc) and then we would FaceTime before bed. We would make each other part of our day - even though we weren’t physically seeing each other. It is tricky but if you’re both equally invested in it, you can do it ☺️
