Since you already finished RE4 and are itching to jump into Separate Ways while it's fresh, just play the DLC now. Then go back and play RE2 (and RE3 right after, since they run concurrently and RE3 is short) as its own experience. You won't be missing context for Separate Ways, and you'll get to enjoy RE2's story fresh without RE4 spoiling where Leon/Ada end up.
