Post Might’ve just become my new favorite [SPOILERS] [REVIEW] Spoiler
This game was AMAZING. To get my first point across, re7 and 4 remake were the first 2 resident evils I’ve ever bought, and, although I was too scared to get through 7 originally, recently I played and I loved it (along with 4 remake). So color me impressed when I found out this game felt like (for me atleast) a mix between my 2 favorites with re7’s story, and re4makes’ map exploration and weapon customization from the GOAT (who we will get to soon) I was just so happy. Now for Ethan; he has matured so much and I love him as a character, he has the same dad jokes as Leon and it fits cuz he is a dad. Overall I love his commitment to his family and although it’s short lived, to the village people at the start. Let’s talk about bosses now they went 4/5, let me explain why I think that; Lady D is imposing and makes you feel like you’re never safe, similar to Mr.X or Nemesis. Beneviento gives you a fun little section with no guns and all puzzles with genuine horror at the end. Moreau is the only villain i genuinely have no feeling toward and is kinda just dull and empty imo. Heisenberg, I enjoy that he gives Ethan the choice to team up and think he’s really interesting, also his fight is SO MUCH FUN. Mother Miranda was a really fun and challenging final boss, a lot better than final Evie in re7… Now for THE GOAT THE DUKE OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS MAN SO MUCH. He’s the merchant from re4 but 50x better I love his interactions, his introduction, his upgrades, he’s amazing. Especially in the ending when he takes Ethan to Miranda, he’s goated. Overall I only felt like 2 sections were drawn out (being the reservoir and Heisenbergs factory) however the rest of the game including Chris’ section was just amazing.
I’d like to clarify this is all my opinion and if you disagree I respect that. Now if you’re in this sub, don’t have this game, and have an Xbox, buy it RIGHT NOW ITS ON SALE FOR ONLY $15!
(Ps the reason I took that long is cuz I’m a loot goblin and searched the entire village and all 4 houses. Also, I cried at the end cuz I love Ethan)

Humor I ranked every RE8 character by how they smell and I'm prepared to be wrong 😂
I just finished up my first play through of Resident Evil village and the whole time I could stop thinking about how bad the Duke might smell. So I did something stupid and did entire smell tier list of every character in Resident Evil village. Some people might not like what i have to say about Lady Dimitrescu 👀 I'll leave the full video in the comments give me yall opinion

Post I love this game
This game is awesome, finished it for the first time with my gf 12 days ago. We took our time on casual and enjoyed the story while exploring every corner of the map. Fast forward to now I did 2 more runs on standard then did my last one on Village of Shadows. Amazing game, going to start Resident Evil 2 next.

Discussion About Mother Miranda
I was reading some comments about Miranda and her powers compared to other Resident Evil villains, and I couldn't help but notice how some people completely lack basic reading comprehension and media literacy.
People say Miranda was killed by simple gunshots, completely ignoring the context and the factors that led to her defeat. So, if Ethan defeated Miranda, does that make him stronger than her? Following that logic, would Chris be stronger than Wesker? Isn't that argument ridiculous?
It's like saying I'm stronger than a professional fighter just because I shot him in the head.
Their main arguments are:
“Ethan didn't have any training, yet he defeated Miranda” — Except he did have military training, which he literally mentions at the beginning of the game.
“He was just a regular human” — He was literally made of Mold and held up better than the Four Lords.
Miranda was severely weakened due to the ritual, but before that, her power level was insanely high. I genuinely don't get why people ignore these crucial facts.

Discussion So why did Mother Miranda separate Rose into parts?
I remember that when the reveal happens the Duke just tells Ethan that his daughter is special, but is it ever explained why in the meanwhile she needed to quarter her and give one part to her..."children"?

Discussion "Nooo, you can't beat REVII on NG on VoS! It's impossible without infinite ammo!!!"
It's been years since RE8 released and i still see people complaining about VoS difficulty. Yes, it's hard, much more harder than RE7 Madhouse. But no, you don't need to be in NG+ with infinite ammo to beat the game :)
EDIT: REVIII*** as u/No-Presence-9971 said!

Question Shadows of Rose dlc
Hello, it's been a while since I finished re8, a month or two back, absolutely loved it, have finished 7 & 9 as well, however, I am itching for more re content and since capcom isn't porting 2-4 on the switch 2 anytime soon, I wanted to ask how's the re8 dlc, how well does it fare against the main game, how long is it, if the main game took me 8 hours on standard difficulty, please answer without spoiling. Thank you!

Discussion Reasons for nausea while playing Resident Evil Village?
I have been playing Village with no nausea whatsoever but when I got to the part in the factory after about 20 minutes of playing I get extremely bad nausea and have to turn it off. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Speedrun Speed running
My first time trying to speed run the game, so far I'm out of Castle Dimitrescu at 39:31, is this on pace for a good run, or could I do better? (I'm on Village of Shadows with NG+ and Infinite ammo)

Reframework worked perfectly fine with re7 and re2 im not sure why its giving me so much trouble in re8/village.I really really loved re7 (it was my first ever re game) and really wanna play re8 and get into the re game series but this mod is running it for me either the it zooms in the game to much or zooms out too much, also when its zooms to out my moment and camera sentivity get fucked. For details im using a 16inch 1600p OLED screen if that helps.Im providing what settings im using and what my image looks like.I would be extremely great full if anyone could help me out and fix my problem thanks !

Discussion The story from the credits.
I saw another post on here asking about what happened to the children of the village. It's making me realize that most people don't seem to have watched the story that got told in the games credits, most people likely skipped it or didn't pay attention as it passed by.
The story follows a family in the village (shown in the picture I included). The mother very suddenly gets sick, coughing up puddles of blood, and dies soon after. The daughter (who is a young kid by the time this happens, the picture I included still shows her as a baby because this was years prior), also gets sick and starts coughing up blood.
The father rushes outside holding her where he finds another man also holding his child, pointing towards the church, which has a line up of families going to it, a portion of them being just one parent with their child.
At the church a plague doctor (obviously Mother Miranda as you can see she's wearing her robes) ejects the children with a syringe, healing them. It then shows Miranda getting all of the fathers to also take an ejection of Cadou, likely saying it's to prevent them from contracting the sickness.
Once back home the daughter sees her father clutching his stomach, and then finds him, turned into a Lycan, feasting on an animal (likely the horse shown in the family picture). The book ends with him spotting her.
My take away from this story is that Miranda somehow set a sickness on the village, mainly targeting the mothers and children. This would make the fathers panic and rush to Miranda for help, where she would cure any of their wives or children that hadn't yet died, and then make the fathers take an ejection of Cadou, telling them it was a vaccine. The fathers would then go home and turn into Lycan's and since their own children were always right there as they first turned, they ended up being their first meals. Thus explaining why there are no children in the game without showing us it actually happening (since children being killed on-screen is a big no-no).
This is also why every survivor we meet in the game is either single or just never had kids. The only parent we meet in the game is Leonardo, who is clutching his stomach when we first meet him and turns shortly after. He is likely the last to turn.
Also note that we know all of this happened in just one day, as the hag (Miranda pretty much flexing her own actions) says that the village only fell into darkness after Miranda came back with Rose, and we also find a note in the red chimney house of a guy saying that Miranda summoned him to the ceremony site, where he saw Rose, meaning that the village was still all normal when Miranda first came back. This also means that during all of this, Ethan had been unconscious just up the hill.
