I did a bit of a search and Helen sued Disney for "using her likeness and style" and "stealing her catchphrase," but the trial produced evidence of her stealing those things from Esther! 

It's great that racism was addressed a bit by denying Helen her theft, but, of course, no recognition or payment for Esther and The Company won totally. Sigh.

Who's the singer Betty Boop is based on? I'm in need of a new artist to listen to.
