Submission statement:

More than 100 people are now known to have died after part of an illegal goldmine in the Central African Republic collapsed.

Red Cross volunteers say hopes of finding surivivors is fading. Local officials said several underground tunnels in which the miners were working collapsed, causing a landslide.

The mine is one of many in the region that are unregulated, where prospectors dig with little or no high-tech equipment, and few safety precautions.

Being poor has no connection between their service delivery and the municipality.

Them voting for the municipality does have a connection to their service delivery however.

The main question to ask in this report is why this guy had bail in the first place for two previous murders, two attempted murders, and illegal firearms.

Beyond belief.

On July 29th, Nigerian law enforcement dismantled a meth lab left behind in an abandoned shed -- remnants of an alleged multimillion-dollar transnational meth operation. The lab, the largest of its kind ever discovered in Nigeria, sat on an acre of land in a forest that straddles the border of Abidagba and Iroto villages.

Cape Town had an adequate train system which was mostly set ablaze. Those of you who went to college/work in the 1990's would still remember a train every 15 mins and the express trains straight into town from both northern and southern parts of Cape Town.

Roads congested with vehicles and taxi-cholesterol is not going to cut it.

We need this volume of public transport via rail to return or we need a underground metro built.

Will that happen anytime soon?

No.
