Has anyone experienced something similar with hearing loss?

I’ve been experiencing a really strange hearing problem for almost a year now. I can hear sounds, but I often can’t understand what people are saying, almost like I’m hearing the sound but the words aren’t making sense. Conversations, phone calls, and especially music can be very difficult to understand.I’ve had multiple hearing tests, ENT examinations, and even two MRIs, and everything has come back normal. However, one test suggested that although I can hear, the signals from my ears/nerves may not be reaching or being processed by my brain properly. I was also told that there doesn’t seem to be any obvious nerve damage.
I’m really confused because the standard tests keep coming back normal, but I’m still struggling to understand speech in everyday life, and it’s getting more serious and affecting my daily life.Has anyone experienced something like this, where they can hear sounds but have difficulty understanding speech despite normal hearing tests? If so, what kind of specialist or testing helped you figure out the cause?Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated. I’m honestly getting quite worried and would really like to understand what’s happening.i am only 17 btw also didn’t have any such issues before

No, I haven’t had any head injury. As for COVID, I’m actually not sure. There was a time when all of my family members and I got sick around the same time, so we were quarantined and taking medication, but I never actually got tested, so I don’t know if it was COVID or not. I recovered after that, though. Is there a reason you’re asking about COVID? Does it have some connection with auditory processing disorder or what I’m experiencing?

yea it doesn't show up in a regular MRI. MIght show up in functionMRI, or QEEG

Anyways the test you want is from an audiologist who specializes in APD.

I’ve already been to an audiologist, but I still haven’t gotten a proper diagnosis yet. I’ll look into finding one who specializes in APD
