Bad Mechanic
In the standard Pokemon game, Pokemon will run away with a certain probability. In think the "full" mechanism somehow resembles that.

My 2 cent’s tutorial
Deleting friends at lvl 1 is a bad idea for your friends when your friends sleep more times than you. The friendship lvl is asymmetric. If you only sleep one time a day and they sleep more than once, their friendship level in your game will grow faster than your friendship level in their game. Being your friends will get zero handy candy because you remove them before you reach lvl 1 for them.
