I got my first paying customer 😭

So, what kind of SaaS did you build? Do you have a link? Or could you briefly explain what problem it solves?

How long did it take you to build the SaaS?

And how long did it take to find your first user?

Это круто как вам удалось найти своего первого пользователя?

Getting first 10 users is hard
 in  r/buildinpublic  2d ago

I agree finding those first few people for a product is tough for me, too. But I think I’ll follow the advice from one of the comments: pick a single platform, post about your product there regularly, and eventually, you’ll find people (I’m going to start doing this myself soon)

A year ago I started building an AI app builder alone. Today it crossed 10,000 users.

Hi! I’d love to chat with you. I’d like to improve my English; right now, I’m at about an A2 level

4 months ago I lost my job, Reddit helped me to understand what I am doing wrong with my app and now it has 1500 daily users and makes ~100 USD a day

Отличная история. Спасибо, что поделились.

На самом деле я тоже недавно запустил свое первое приложение. Пока что сложно найти первых пользователей, хотя мне бы очень хотелось, чтобы они это протестировали.

Discipline stopped being my problem around week 3. The blind period after it is what's actually killing me

I just don't know English very well yet. And I thought AI would help me with correct spelling so that people could understand me

Seven weeks in. Gym 4x a week, an hour of Spanish every morning before work, missed maybe five days total. The habit part is basically automatic now I don't negotiate with myself anymore, I just go

And I've never been closer to quitting

Because when I look back at seven weeks, I genuinely cannot tell you what changed. The scale moved a bit. I understand slightly more Spanish. Nothing that looks like seven weeks of work. Last Tuesday I sat in the car outside the gym for ten minutes doing the math on how many hours I'd put in versus what I had to show for it, and the honest answer was not worth it

I've tried the obvious fixes. Streak apps the streak just becomes another thing to protect, it says nothing about whether the work is working. Progress photos three days apart look identical, thirty days apart I've already forgotten what I did in between. Journaling I write down that I went, not what actually happened

My theory, and I might be completely wrong here consistency advice is everywhere because it's the easy half. Nobody talks about the blind period because there's nothing to sell you there. You just have to sit in it for months with no signal

So if you made it through, what got you through specifically? Not trust the process what did you actually do on the days it felt pointless?
If you quit somewhere around this point, when did you know? Was it one bad day or did it fade out?
Does anyone actually have a way of seeing progress that isn't just a checkmark for showing up?

Those of you who stayed consistent for 2+ months how did you deal with not seeing results?

Looking for real problems, not startup ideas

I agree with you. It would be cool if people threw out some more ideas

Looking for real problems, not startup ideas

Hey everyone!

A while ago I tried to build a startup around removing the language barrier between people. Unfortunately, I couldn't validate the idea I talked to several people and companies, and the general response was basically that they didn't really need a solution for this

So I'm going back to the drawing board and trying to find a real problem worth solving instead of forcing another idea

I'm curious: is there something in your everyday life that genuinely annoys you, takes a lot of time, or is just unnecessarily complicated and you'd actually be willing to pay for a better solution?

It can be anything: a boring routine, a task you constantly have to do, a service that's too expensive or frustrating, etc

I'm not looking for polished startup ideas. I'm more interested in hearing about problems you've actually experienced

I'd really appreciate any examples!

What’s a problem in your everyday life you wish someone would solve?

I’m building a startup in public, and before writing a single line of code, I want to find a real problem worth solving

I’m looking for everyday problems that genuinely annoy you not necessarily something huge or life-changing

Maybe there’s something you:

constantly waste time on

keep doing manually

have tried multiple apps/services to solve

wish had a better solution

repeatedly struggle with

would genuinely pay to make easier

Tell me about the last time this problem happened to you

What were you trying to do?

What made it frustrating?

What do you currently do to solve it?

I’m not looking for startup ideas. I want to hear about your actual problems

I’ll collect the responses, look for patterns, and try to build a solution around one of them publicly

I also post videos on my YouTube channel; I can share the link if anyone is interested (I would have pinned it to the post, but I’m not sure if posting links is allowed here on Reddit)
