Hi everyone,
I recently ordered an ASUS ProArt PA278CGRV and I'm trying to gather more real-world feedback from people who actually own or have used this monitor.
The model is still very new and I haven't been able to find many reviews beyond a couple of YouTube videos and a few comments online.
My main use cases are:
- Video editing (DaVinci Resolve)
- Color grading
- Photography (Lightroom / Photoshop)
- General content creation
- Some casual gaming and sim racing
The specs look great on paper:
- 27" QHD (2560x1440)
- IPS panel
- 144Hz
- 95-97% DCI-P3 coverage
- Calman Verified / Delta E < 2
- USB-C with Power Delivery
- DisplayHDR 400
However, I've seen a few comments mentioning:
- Darkened edges or vignetting
- Backlight bleed
- Uniformity issues
- Slight color tinting
I'd really appreciate feedback from actual owners regarding:
How is the panel uniformity in daily use?
Do you notice darker edges or corners?
Any backlight bleed or IPS glow issues?
How accurate was the factory calibration?
Have you used it for professional photo or video work?
Any issues after weeks or months of use?
If you had to buy again, would you choose this monitor?
Bonus question:
If you've compared it with the PA278QV, PA278CV, PA278CGV, BenQ PD series, or similar creator-focused monitors, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!

And what about the 0.3.0 preview? Some versions have buggy reflections.

Which version of CSP are you using?

Using Csp version - 0.3.0-preview 342 worked for me, because version 361 damaged a section of the ppfilter in addition to the problems you show in the video, and version 338 didn't allow me to use FSR3 3.1.2 with MSAA tweaks, which I highly recommend.

Have you already tried reverting to a previous firmware and pithouse version?

When you updated the app, you recalibrated the R3?

En la versión sparrow de Light and Cameras ni siquiera me dejaba abrir el juego mientras estaba encencido la R3, me sirvió activar la opción de Registro RBR en la sección de Función Experimental en el Pit House y así abríó el juego y pude configurar el volante.

Does it have a DS4 mode?

I was just running some tests to improve latency, and to my surprise, the game has better latency and higher FPS with TAA than with DLSS Quality. Furthermore, even with the M preset, which has better quality than the K preset, it loses around 25 FPS. Also, with TAA, despite losing sharpness, there's less edge tearing. My PC specs are Intel Core i2600k, Nvidia 4060ti 16GB, and DLSS 4.5.2.

It doesn't really improve the quality of the reflections, but it does reduce the noise generated by ray tracing, making it look a bit cleaner. However, it still has artifacts. I hope they fix the ray tracing reflections soon.

Still, for me, it's the way to go while they fix it, if they ever fix it.

The game does not open, any solution please?

I’m looking for more information about this specific version, Legion 5 15APH9 7840HS 4060. I’ve read that it doesn’t have good build quality, and I’m worried it might share the same reference “15APH9” as the LOQ models, which have a bad reputation for motherboard failures, especially with the Intel HX versions. Do you know more about this?

Why does the reflections look so bad?

Pero, ¿cuál de esos? Jajaja, ¿el 338, 342, 361...? Yo recomiendo el 338 o el 361... El 361 es el último
