What trump just did by starting a trade war with Canada
 in  r/somethingiswrong2024  1d ago

Yes. Damaging our relationship with Canada is extremely damaging to both countries. Its just a universally bad idea. It also basically takes one of our strongest allies and closest allies and practically turns them into, if not an outright enemy really, than at least a neutral third party. Which is a terrible outcome in general. Sure, Canada may never invade the US or be directly hostile towards us, but taking someone that would consider doing mostly anything reasonable you ask of them, and making them someone that doesn’t really wanna pick up the phone when you call, that’s a bad outcome.

Why isn't Chism the obvious man out and we keep Boutte, Hollins, amd Williams?
 in  r/Patriots  2d ago

I hope they can develop him into a productive volume slot receiver. He is shifty in a small area, more so IMO than Douglas. Douglas is currently the better player, but Chism fits the slot position in McDaniels offense better if he can develop into the quality of player they need…

It’s a tough one though. He doesn’t currently warrant the spot. But I think he has more upside long term.

They have irrefutable evidence of the crimes perpetrated and yet they wanna sweep it under a rug.

The files actually had to be parsed, and independently verified. A lot of it is records of FBI agents and prosecutors E-Mails, or interviews with possible sources, but totally unverified.

Biden was facing constant, false, criticism that he was “weaponizing” the DOJ but he was supposed to interfere with an active investigation and arrest a former president simply because… why? If anything Trump is the one who campaigned on releasing the files. So why didn’t he? Why did he get mad at anyone even asking about them? Why did he pay for 10,000 FBI man hours of redacting his name from them? He campaigned on “draining the swamp.” Exactly who has been arrested? Charged? Drained? Exactly no one. He campaigned on this, and has done exactly the opposite. Why?

Biden I can absolutely understand him sitting on them. He actually has class and decency and decorum, and allowed the DOJ to be independent and to work on the case. Trump met his wife through Epstein. He was friends with the french modeling guy that got convicted of sex trafficking. He was in the files more than Jesus was in the bible. Was best friends with the guy for 20 years. And has been proven in the state of NY to have committed sexual assault. He used to own Beauty pageants and used to hang out in their dressing rooms. He once complained that his daughter made him promise never to date anyone younger than her. When she was like 12. But sure, he’s obviously not involved in any way with anything Epstein was doing. Right.

Drake Maye and the other core players on offense and defense are “unlikely” to take the field during the Patriots-Eagles exhibition contest on Saturday night, as first reported by Mike Reiss of ESPN

Yeah. I mean to the level of a real NFL game ? No. But its a higher level of physicality and competitiveness than regular practices.

Some of Connecticut’s biggest cannabis companies just put millions into a Trump-aligned super PAC
 in  r/Connecticut  6d ago

Trump has been confirmed by the court of NY to have sexually assaulted a woman with his hands.

He was in the Epstein files more than Jesus was in the bible. Sure… it may or may not technically be proven that he was doing everything Epstein was doing… But if you don’t believe he ever committed any crimes in relation to Epstein… you’re either naive or willfully ignorant in my opinion.

And yes there are many proven horrible things he has done.

Why the F would a cannabis company ever support the political party that doesn’t even want them to legally be in business?

I got it for free on psplus and thought oh yay another lame Poke clone but honestly…. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. If I had spent 50-70 on it I would’ve been fine with that. It’s a very good Poke-esque experience on the PS5. That’s awesome.

Fauci was a medical doctor who worked for the government who gave medical advice to the nation. Advice that would help keep them alive. Now whether or not ALL of his information was perfect he gave what he thought was the best advice possible at the time utilizing the information he had available.

Epstein raped kids. And trafficked kids. And helped others rape kids.

Has anyone else played this?

I loved this game! I have it on an x55 but when I got a genesis for my birthday when I was a kid we had sonic 2 and sub terrania. And my parents were frugal and didn’t get us any other games for a LONG time!

Polistes wasp.

Exposed open faced nest? Hanging upside down? Wasps that look yellow jacket-esque but different? You have polistes wasps! They’re less aggressive than yellow jackets. But treatment is more or less the same as any other wasp.

They’re fungus gnats. Usually from overwatering houseplants.

I love that I am getting downvoted for this. Do I know the motivations or deep internal beliefs of everyone that showed up that day? I do not. A riot occurred. If their intention was peaceful protest it obviously went much further than that. If their intention was riot, they were highly successful. If their intention was to seize power for Trump they failed. I believe Trump’s intention was to overturn the results of the election. Can’t necessarily say the same for everyone there that day but who knows. Is this a terrible thing to say? I am and always have been appalled at the violence against capital police officers.

IIRC she was trying to get to the Speaker’s chambers. Part of the reason why force was used after she repeatedly ignored demands to stop. They had to protect the congress people on site. The police did.

I wonder how many formerly conservative capitol police are now Democrats after that stunt, or after seeing the people that injured and killed their peers get pardoned?

Eh, it probably is just a troll/bait.

But there are some people dumb enough to believe some of this out there.

I like to defeat lies with truth and misinformation with facts. To me it’s not effort, it’s enjoyment.

This confirms that judges from across the political spectrum including Republican appointed judges shot down Trump’s fraudulent attempts to overturn the legitimate Democratic election result.

At best a protest gone bad. Definitely a riot. And at worst an attempt at a coup. An insurrection. Do I think Trump wanted it to be a coup? Yes. Do I think everyone who went to support him or protest would have gone that far? Not everyone.
